Can I say something? I don't think you're a big man just because you can hunt and shoot an animal from a safe distance before it even knows you're there. Or bragging about how the dogs you've trained specifically for this purpose and set loose to gang up on a wild pig tore it to shreds and made the poor thing die a slow painful death bleeding out from fifty bite wounds, before you had the courage to finally get close yourself and stab it through the windpipe, when it had absolutely no chance of fighting back by then.

It's not cool, and it certainly doesn't prove any kind of strength or skill on your part that i can see if you teach other animals to slowly wear your quarry down and torture it to death before making any kind of confrontation yourself. This kind of hobby, when done in this way, makes me sick, and I wish I had had the guts to just tell the guy to shut up and quit enthusiastically bragging to me about doing all this, because some people don't want to hear it, and with good reason.

Hunting for food is fine, but this kind of thing, and talking like what you've done is some kind of awesome accomplishment. The guy FILMED it, a wild pig bleeding everywhere desperately dragging itself away from these dogs who are gnawing all over it, going to me like "look at how my boys are getting after it! Dang, all that blood! Woo-hoo, yeahhh!"

There's nature documentaries which show her harsher side, and then there's just animal snuff films made by proud rednecks.

.... And now he's bragging to me about a girl in El Dorado he used to sleep with (using a far less censored term than I am for that). Seriously .....

I wonder that about my sister and her three girls. I'm STILL exhausted from Christmas lol
Oh goodness, three little girls!!! That's got to take a ton of energy!!! And I feel you there!! hahaha! But I bet it was fun!!! ^_^

Alas, the beloved star Betty White's time has come. :(
I just saw this today! She was so close to 100 too!!

Oh these sort of things upset me so much. This is partly why I went vegan. I don't understand how anyone could be that cruel. :(

Gave the first associate I spoke to the day off today, so I could speak to the second associate in private. Let's hope they were both receptive and I won't have to get in the middle of their conflict again.

bragging in general is unbecoming behavior.

That sounds like snuff and animal cruelty.

Proverbs 12:10
The righteous care for the needs of their animals,
but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.

I am planning on getting a hunting permit down the line. I will start off with deer and boar. But the plan is to shoot them right in the heart and give them a quick death. The goal is to get out in nature, become good at tracking and becoming a good marksman and bring home food like back in the day.

But some hunters are like what what you describe. Like this big game hunter that was on Danish TV. The locals cought a Crocodile they did all the hard work, dragged it to land, bound the jaws too, then one of the locals pointed to the skull on the crock where the hunter should shoot it. So he stood right in front of a gagged and bound croc and shot it in the brain. Where is the huntmanship in that? The biggest threat to the big game hunter on that trip was the malaria and the mosquitoes. The real hunters were the locals.

--- My phone is home safe & sound
--- Had a fish scare yesterday. My snail died & was leaking ammonia. My fish wasn't swimming well at all. I thought it was on its deathbed. But I removed snail & did water change & fish is happy & no worse for the wear (but maybe a bit mad at me). I got 2 more snails. Everyone is happy
--- Church cancelled today, combo of bad weather & COVID outbreaks. I did housework all morning & am taking a break now. Probably will try to do some more later, plus evening church.
--- Worked 4 hours (OT) yesterday)
