I'd rather express my interest and fail than never speak up. They may be thinking the same. Who knows.
In my opinion it's different for men. Generally speaking, men are a potential threat to women, and not the other way around. From that point of view, men have to tread very softly. And the usual rules apply. If you're a 9 or 10 on looks, or display wealth ostentatiously, then you're more likely to get a favourable response. Although for some women, typically those who are more discerning, wealthy, good-looking men may come across as vain and entitled when trying to get the attention of a woman.
I don't have an opinion. I've never been well acquainted with a shy man. But I imagine that's how it is for some.
Your response is perhaps a good illustration of how different it can be for men and women who are looking for love and romance.
The video shows a plane taking off. To me that strongly suggests that he flew to another city/state/country to track her down. She was pleased to see him, so it ended well. If she hadn't been pleased to see him then it would have been very different, and he would have most likely been considered a dangerous, creepy stalker.
It's interesting that you saw a 'shy man', whereas I saw the potential for him to get the cops called on him. I guess it all depends whether the woman likes being hunted down, and if she does, whether she likes the particular man who is hunting her down.
I don't like innuendo. It's too easy to misinterpret their intentions. Which leads to speculation and endless rounds of what does he mean?
LOL! It's always been that way for both sides, hasn't it?
I think the series reveals a woman's willingness to put up with challenges if most of her needs are met. He had problems but he was in a position to solve them. That's the difference.
And there was me thinking that it was just badly written romance, for people who had tired of the sedate stories in Mills and Boon, and wanted something a little more edgy, racy, and kinky. LOL!
