In my opinion it's different for men. Generally speaking, men are a potential threat to women, and not the other way around. From that point of view, men have to tread very softly. And the usual rules apply. If you're a 9 or 10 on looks, or display wealth ostentatiously, then you're more likely to get a favourable response. Although for some women, typically those who are more discerning, wealthy, good-looking men may come across as vain and entitled when trying to get the attention of a woman.

I don't have an opinion. I've never been well acquainted with a shy man. But I imagine that's how it is for some.

Your response is perhaps a good illustration of how different it can be for men and women who are looking for love and romance.

The video shows a plane taking off. To me that strongly suggests that he flew to another city/state/country to track her down. She was pleased to see him, so it ended well. If she hadn't been pleased to see him then it would have been very different, and he would have most likely been considered a dangerous, creepy stalker.

It's interesting that you saw a 'shy man', whereas I saw the potential for him to get the cops called on him. I guess it all depends whether the woman likes being hunted down, and if she does, whether she likes the particular man who is hunting her down.

It was popular in Christian circles as are romance titles overall. They're drawn to the same type: strong, charismatic, assertive, wealthy and very attractive. That's what inspired the rebuttal. The authors felt it created an unrealistic barometer for Christian men.

Reached a significant milestone yesterday. I finally registered as a developer and partner to a major game / software distribution service. I also have a project pending review on a mobile game distribution site. No small feat, especially with all the challenges, trials and hurdles involved along the way.

It's almost impossible for indie developers to get off the ground. But it just goes to show that perseverance does eventually pay off. We should never give up on our passions; we're not meant for the mundane.

Game development is rough to begin with. The horror stories coming from EA make me glad I didn't put a significant amount of effort into training for that industry. But, hey, if it's your passion, it's your passion. Games, like most things entertainment related, always seem to converge toward a proven formula that sells. Maybe you can find a unique niche that breaks the mold.

You have think outside the box and generate a revenue stream that funds the main thing. Investment is the Achilles heel. That's how they tie the majority up. When you start taking money that's when things get interesting. It seems okay at first but the goal is to buy you out or take a majority stake.

I read an article recently about the S&P 500. Most shares are held by 10 companies. That's crazy but it's the formula. You see the same in fashion, music, movies, etc. Conglomerates snatch them up. Once they have a foothold they control the narrative. That's why everything 'looks' the same. Not in appearance but through the message.
