Start writing. If I can help you I will. You've been incredibly kind. I reward loyalty.
Let's see ....
If only I still had the hardcopy of the few pages I wrote outlining what the story should be about and each of the major characters! *slaps forehead*
In terms of comparing this to the early Mortal Kombat film, in the skeletal plot of there being an otherworldly force of evil invaders to the protagonist princess's earthly kingdom and she, being a martial artist of sorts is skeptical as to the greater scope and meaning of it all, there was:
1) the Lui Kang female equivalent, Princess Rimu Arrowny our main heroine and obvious destined-to-be empress mentioned in the title
2) Norn Cossack the apprentice woman-chasing ninja with a heart of gold beneath the playfully arrogant exterior (Johnny Cage equivalent)
3) Kitty Saradin the stoic Lady Knight with a personal vendetta against the evil Zenobian kingdom (Sonya Blade equivalent) who at first thinks that Rimu is out of her mind and Norn is a hopeless unreliable waste of youth, but then later on is willing to die for her new friends
4) Dalton Tingel the crafty and wicked sorcerer who aspires to personally make Rimu's path to become a hero a living hell (of course, just like Shang Tsung!)
5) Kalinka Dawnfreed, also known as Lady Death, a ruthless monster of a swordswoman and Kitty Saradin's personal opponent (yup, Kano equivalent)
6) Miriam Gainsborough, a divine prophetess of great doom and loss who sides with the evil Zenobian kingdom (maybe inspired by Sindel?)
7) Lord Ketsith Zeraalt, the main bad guy who basically aspires to become emperor of the entire world using Zenobia as the medium to do so, and may not even be human as we shall see in the story (now all I need is for there to be a chapter cliffhanger scene at one point where Ketsith's giant terrifying apparition appears in the heavens before Rimu and her allies to threaten and intimidate them by declaring: "you weak, pathetic fools! I've come for your souls!" XD )
.... That's all I can remember offhand, but man, i think as a kid i had at least twenty characters among the heroes and villains made up, with full names and at least a short summary of a backstory.
Thanks, Bella. ^-^
