I wouldn’t touch the electronics with a 10 foot pole. Some of my guitars have locking tuners on them, as I do not feel comfortable changing strings on regular tuners. I don’t think I’m luthier material.

And to answer your question, the pickups keep cutting out or dropping in volume. It may just be the switches, but I may also be internal issues.

If you haven't done anything to the electronics, have you checked the input jack? The jack gets more wear and tear than the other electronic parts, and can cause the signal to cut out. It might need to be tightened, or maybe rotated a little before being tightened if the wires got twisted from it being loose. Also, a bad cable between the guitar and the amp can cause similar symptoms. I'd check the cable first.

Is there a cap to how many replies there can be on this thread?
I don't think there's a cap, but there was apparently some kind of admin action.

Perhaps, it seems rather odd that many of them would be doing the same thing. Telecasters are notorious for their retainer clips being loosened, and my Starcaster’s input comes loose every so often. I read the reviews on the Duo-Sonic before I bought it, and they suggested there might just be a general problem with their 3-way switches.

Somehow unavailable...I’m impressed. Few would play it like that. He gets his answer without asking the question.

He is good like that! He and I are alike in that way. We don’t need to ask the question to get the answer. When you know, you know. :congrat:

You’d ask the question. He painted me in a corner to force the confession. So he can say what he wants.

He understands the way to me is through my head. Something most men miss. They emphasize the emotional. That’s nice but the union has to make sense.

You have to give me a logical reason why you’re the best fit. Spirit and emotion can be part of it. But you need to appeal to my commonsense. I’m weighing things from that perspective.

He listens to me. I say what I want but people don’t believe it! I love my comfort and ease. That’s why he doesn’t burden me. He knows people come to me with their problems. So he’s a shoulder and ear.

We studied each other. That’s how you nab the one you want. ;)

Sometimes I ask when I already know the answer. I have other ways inside a head.

I have never understood why for most, emotion tends to lead or emotion and spirit. Emotions are pesky things in a relationship. You have to have more than that for things to last. Intellectual connection brings fire as well.

I think more than just listening, He HEARS you, truly and deeply. ;)

Doing well this morning but it's only morning unfortunately.

Also apparently company's coming over tommorow? Strange, we usually schedule it for Monday.
Oh gosh, morning's over. Starting to not feel well.

The more you anticipate having these dark feelings and thoughts, the more likely and often they will happen. I know, I've been there. As a very deep thinker and introspective person, I understand this struggle.

Do you have any hobbies you can occupy your mind with? Even a little hobby would do. Are you capable of taking a walk outside? Is there someone you know (in person or online) who may be struggling themselves and could use an uplifting chat? Or perhaps even send them a small gift or card. Shoot, even people who aren't struggling with something will always appreciate a kind gesture, such as a small gift or card out of the blue.

Just spit balling here.

I always found that to occupy myself with something constructive and meanful, or otherwise put my mind towards others rather than expecting to have a bad day, has always helped and steered me in the direction of healing. It's not a perfect science, that is obvious, and maybe it'll do nothing for you personally, but I know it certainly won't hurt in any case.

Yes, I have a wide variety of hobbies & interests to occupy me. But problem is, can't always do them while working Monday-Friday 9-5 kind of day.

One of the reasons why I think I should move on from this job. I need a job that can distract me form my problem (even tho it's always really at the back of my mind).

But you're right, I've been focusing on this even more than I usually do the last few months. Need to start thinking healthier.

Mental connections are priceless and very enticing. Smartypants.

I know he does. Even when I don’t think he’s listening.

I told him everything. I want to hear what he says. Get a different opinion.
