I wish that were entirely true, my dear Bella. But there was one moment in which I failed greatly, elsewhere while I was away.

Well, only all the more fortunate that our God is still more merciful, forgiving, and understanding of such failings than even the best god you could think of in all of fiction.

Yes. He brings others alongside who see and appreciate the things others miss and encourage us when we fall short so we don’t grow despondent.

Fret not. He sees you. As do I.

I know. I am not fretting too much. It's just that I want to be honest before you all as well when you say such gracious things about me (like when you, Bella, said earlier that I have acted quite the Knight taking care of my mother and all while I was visiting Houston), if at the same time I failed in at least one way or at one time. I especially do not want to appear hypocritical or self-righteous.

There was another thread elsewhere I am viewing where someone just now gave an alleged quote from St. Augustine in response to the subject of "soul mates". Being a conditionalist Christian I naturally strongly oppose Augustine on one hand, but mind you I can definitely agree with him here on this quote:

"Thou, O Lord, hath created us for Thyself. And our hearts are ever restless until they rest in Thee."

Even as we look forward to our future spouses and lifelong loves as our "soul mates" (especially a romantic idealist as myself may do), we must remember that, truly, perhaps God is the soul-mate to each of us.

You post a lot of music. Do you play an instrument by chance? You have a large store to draw from. I don’t know if you’re involved with a worship group but the idea popped in my head. ;-)

Yes, I play the rain stick...and I drum on anything within reach!

Perhaps you should explore it a bit more. You never know what the Spirit will do through you to bless others. It has never crossed my mind until now.

Music has brought me back from some deep dark places...kept me somewhat sane.

I have used it as a balm of sorts and taught my friends to do the same. We used to post songs that expressed our hearts. It was a kaleidoscope of experiences that shared our story.

Music is a ministry. Have you taught others to play the rain stick?

Yes, spontaneous singing too! One of my favorite things to say is "Life's a musical...start singing!" and then I'll sing and maybe do some beat boxing (while out on the streets or when working)! Is there a formal way to do the rain stick? I'll have to Youtube it...good idea!
