How is your mother feeling today? God willing, her pain is abating and she can rest until the procedure occurs.
You are too kind to keep giving attention to this, Lady Bella.

She said this morning as she left for work that the pain is not as bad right now, and that she will take your suggestion and pick up this clove oil you spoke of on her way home in a few hours if it gets bad again. Thank you for checking in.
To help her out in what little ways I could considering this situation, instead of going back to sleep when she left at 6 I grabbed our dog Tallulah, and Angel the dog from next door who I had often been tasked with babysitting back when I lived here in her owners' absence, and bathed them both. For some reason Tal likes it when I am the one to give her a bath and not Mom. Just like any small human child, she is picky like that.

And then spent a half-hour or so tidying up the house. Mama Knight is now 60 and typically spends 50 hours a week at work (ridiculous, of course, I know), so you can imagine it is difficult for her to keep up the time and energy to also maintain the house very well without a personal maid.
Afterward, I am now sitting down to catch a movie on Netflix waiting for her to get home, and it is the sixth I stallment in the Tremors franchise.

.... Sure movies about giant killer sandworms are naturally dumb, but I am only fifteen minutes into this one and it is entertaining as heck. ... And Jamie Kennedy hasn't even shown up yet.
So, all in all a pleasant morning.
