 That's awesome! And I think I can give you some more names now - Anthonyangels? Anthonysnowangels? :D And Anthonysnows, if I haven't used that one already. :holy:

I hope that the weather calms down over there soon.
We can certainly add all three to the list. ;)

I threw a few snowballs earlier, so perhaps Anthonysnowprojectiles as well? :eheh:

That's awesome you're getting a lot of snow as well Multis! Yes, I've been quite enjoying it - I even made a snow angel. I figured, since I'm such an angel in real life, I thought I'd portray it in snow form. o_O
View attachment 294983

Hope you're enjoying it as well!:snowman:
That's a nice snow angel. I made one around Christmas. It's fun! I hadn't done that in a long time.

I've been trying to focus on lower body a lot more then what I was. I don't understand, I feel like it's harder to make gains w/ legs (& who sees my abs ever :p) , but I'm at least trying more then what I was before the lockdowns started
keep up the work. Lower body has always been the harder one for me. I accidentally had my notebook on the wrong page today and did lower body. Guess I will have to do upper on Wednesday. I'm doing a 6 mile run on Friday with a friend.

Abs are nice. :D

I don’t like a lot of bulk on men. Long and lean with muscle definition suits my tastes. I like balance most of all. A bulging chest and arms paired with scrawny legs just looks strange. Do what’s natural and you’ll be fine.

FYI I tended not to focus on legs b/c I was primarily trying to strengthen the parts of my body that get achy sitting all day at work.

What areas get sore? My friend is very knowledgeable about fitness. She’s a coach. I’ll tag her. Hey @cara-mia, can you chime in?

I don't get why this is such a struggle for men especially (tho women no doubt have the same problems, just seems like men are more vocal about it)

Men appear to be less aware of the reasons they’re struggling. Most women know. But they may deny it.

The most common detractors are:

Appearance
Neediness/Clinginess/Smothering
Secrecy/Overly cautious
Dishonesty
Demanding/Too many expectations
Bad attitude/Negative
Neglect/Never has time
Moving too fast/slow

If you read the relational complaints on the site you’ll see these often. I’m not including abuse or cheating for obvious reasons.

Women don’t typically tell men why they turn them down. Most have done so before and had a bad experience. They’ll keep it simple to avoid conflict.

Not yet, still grilling tho, lol. :)

Oy. How long is the outage expected to last? We had one in the past due to heat. I lost some food. I couldn’t save everything.

I didn’t have a chest freezer then. It would take a few days for it to thaw. The freezer is full. When I bought the meat there was a deal I wasn’t aware of. Triple points on certain purchases. The 1/8 and 1/2 cost a $100 after redemption. It would have been free but I missed it by a day.

I really should have a backup option since I buy in bulk. Losing it might bring me to tears. :D

Yes indeed.

But I wear a shirt all day. Oh well, I'm trying to focus on them more then I was. They say core strength is just good in general to have.

I don’t like a lot of bulk on men.
If I was a woman, I'd be the same way. Maybe b/c my body type isn't bulky lol. I'd want a man who looked fit & all-around athletic, not like a wrestler

For sure.

Some of my problem was, I still looked in the mirror & saw myself as really skinny & scrawny in the chest & arm area & didn't realize that wasn't the case anymore. But as I was saying, I felt sore from sitting all day at work so I felt like I had to concentrate on those parts b/c it made the soreness go away.

What areas get sore? My friend is very knowledgeable about fitness. She’s a coach. I’ll tag her. Hey @cara-mia, can you chime in?
Oh boy, a fitness coach. I'm scared. :fearscream:

Neck. I feel like exercising arms, back, chest, etc. helps that area, so I focused on those kinds of exercises a lot.

Men appear to be less aware of the reasons they’re struggling. Most women know. But they may deny it.
For sure. I also wonder if some if it is b/c men usually have to do some form of initiating it. So what happens is, we men feel like our efforts to initiate it go in vain & we get frustrated.

The man initiating it isn't always the case tho, I know quite a few married couples where the woman made the first move; also what appears to be usually the case, & this is interesting, while the man initiates the interest/desire/the date/etc, it's usually the woman who wants to make it 'official' & asks for that

Thanks! That might be something during the Daniel fast that I can use. As mentioned before I have to get what I need off of social media pictures for my sister's calendar before Wednesday... And then get my recipes together for the first 3 days of the fast. Also figure out everything that I can do to survive in the 7 days that I won't have any internet or any type of media. I've already started sending things off to friends so they know that email and social media won't be an option.

Here's the books I will be going through on Wednesday before things start on Saturday. There is a Daniel fast devotional in there that's pretty good. Once a week I will be doing the run soar devotional you suggested. Other than that I have to have all my recipes planned every day because they pretty much have to be made from scratch. Second from the top is My fasting journal. I usually do a review by the end to see how God has been speaking to me, breakthrough in prayers, and how God has used it for others.

Maybe in some of the more babyish parts of the country.. lol.. for us no..

Seriously. I recall brutal winters when you had to cover your car battery (with a blanket) and start it several times to avoid problems.

But seeing cars with chains on the tires was trippy. We encountered a Ryder truck stuck in the snow. My confidence in the shuttle bus plummeted. Getting stuck on a road beside a mountain wasn’t my idea of fun.

Of course, I would have avoided the storm if I didn’t wear heels to the airport and miss my flight and the second 10 minutes later. Mum gave me a strange look and suggested I change them. But I wanted to be cute.

After missing the second flight and getting added to a third they called transport to get me there. I had a stop in Denver and met my friend. She looked at me and laughed. When I reached my destination I needed help getting off the bus. The steps were wet.

He said, are you really wearing heels in a snowstorm and fell out laughing while helping me to the car. I was in my twenties. You can pardon the ridiculousness. :p

Oy. How long is the outage expected to last?

They said it would be back on tonight, but changed it to tomorrow night. The line that's down runs through a field in the woods behind us. The ground is saturated. A couple poles are snapped, so they'll need a four-wheel drive digger truck to get back there to set the poles. And, of course, my little bit of need is in company with thousands in this part of the state. The upside, it will get up to 50 tonight. I might break out my shorts, lol.

I didn’t have a chest freezer then

I don't have one either. I grilled what I had, and then went to the store for more this morning. Will probably do the same tomorrow. I'm grateful that side of town didn't lose power.

I need to get a chest freezer, and a generator, lol.

When I bought the meat there was a deal I wasn’t aware of. Triple points on certain purchases. The 1/8 and 1/2 cost a $100 after redemption. It would have been free but I missed it by a day

You're buying bulk locally? That's where it's at. I have a friend who sells 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 cow. Her brother raises them, and she finds people to buy. A cottage industry, of sorts. I can't remember the price, but I worked it out and it was definitely cheaper per lb. Of course, I need a chest freezer for a 1/4 cow, lol. And, like you, it would break my heart to lose it. That brings us back to the generator. I see my future opening before my eyes. ^_^

It didn't surprise me today when I read allegations of Ravi Zacharias raping women during his time on earth. But I have to say, I did read it with open jaw.
I don't know all the allegations but one of my friends that told me about it last fall, he's still in a state of shock. He talked to me about it a few nights ago because he really esteemed him. We live in a fallen world, there is no man perfect but only in Christ we are redeemed.

They say core strength is just good in general to have.

I was going to suggest pilates. But since cara’s here I tagged her instead.

If I was a woman, I'd be the same way. Maybe b/c my body type isn't bulky lol. I'd want a man who looked fit & all-around athletic, not like a wrestler

I’ve always preferred slender men. I like the way they look in clothes. Especially when they’re tall. Bulk breaks the line.

Oh boy, a fitness coach. I'm scared. :fearscream:

She’s cool. She does crazy workouts. I don’t do all that! I like pilates, cycling and barre.

If your neck is sore check your posture and the chair. The ones with headrests are better for long-term sitting.

For sure. I also wonder if some if it is b/c men usually have to do some form of initiating it. So what happens is, we men feel like our efforts to initiate it go in vain & we get frustrated.

The problem is two-fold. You need honest feedback. If you can’t get it from her it should come from those who know you well. But you have to ask the right question and allow them to share their insight.

You need them to tell you why they think you’re struggling and what may be turning off prospects. And you have to be willing to hear the truth.

The other option is asking strangers. Many do it online but the setting is key. You need to talk to people who are succeeding where you struggle who won’t mince their words to spare your feelings.

I’m not advocating cruelty. But sometimes the truth hurts. Getting over the hump is the goal. Having people tell you what you want to hear is counterproductive. If you’re getting in your way you need to know it.

The man initiating it isn't always the case tho, I know quite a few married couples where the woman made the first move; also what appears to be usually the case, & this is interesting, while the man initiates the interest/desire/the date/etc, it's usually the woman who wants to make it 'official' & asks for that

I can’t speak to that. The Christians I know were married when we met or in relationships. The women I knew in the past didn’t initiate. They wanted leaders and taking the initiative for its commencement detracted from that.

There’s nothing more delightful than hearing a man admit his desire to make you his when you return his affections. Then you know your place. You’re not dithering and trying to decode his words and behavior. Spelling it out makes it easier for both.
