I poked around my homemaking site and decided to join. The DIY project nurtured my longing for fellowship with other home keepers who practice intentional living at a slower pace. I can see their locations. There’s lots of members here and throughout the state (and neighboring states). Maybe we’ll have a chance to connect sometime.

I’d like to weave faith into my duties. Whereby homemaking is a spiritual discipline of sorts. That was the case long ago. We’ve gotten away from it.

I stumbled upon a couple of books on the subject. Only to realized I’d saved them elsewhere. Books are great gifts for the opposite sex. Thinking of you, thanks, etc. This is a nice one for Catholics.

Seems like there is a lot of winter weather going on right now. Where I am, this is the most snow we've had in years! Instead of usually having no more than one or two inches that melts in a few days like we had the last five or more years...we had five to seven inches that have been around for maybe two weeks or more, with more on the way!

Since rejoining gym a month ago (had stopped when the "2 week lockdowns" started), I've been trying to focus on lower body a lot more then what I was. I don't understand, I feel like it's harder to make gains w/ legs (& who sees my abs ever ) , but I'm at least trying more then what I was before the lockdowns started.

FYI I tended not to focus on legs b/c I was primarily trying to strengthen the parts of my body that get achy sitting all day at work.

A fellow member has a similar struggle. Perhaps you can encourage him.

I don't get why this is such a struggle for men especially (tho women no doubt have the same problems, just seems like men are more vocal about it)

That's awesome you're getting a lot of snow as well Multis! Yes, I've been quite enjoying it - I even made a snow angel. I figured, since I'm such an angel in real life, I thought I'd portray it in snow form.

Although exciting, we're definitely not used to this kind of weather. It dropped down to about 8 degrees here in some parts, and our city had to do rolling power blackouts in some areas to reduce strain on the electrical grid. Our heater could barely keep up, and some of the pipes are probably completely frozen.

A very unusual weather system, that's for sure.
