When I lived in Japan that was what I was called my students in class and outside class on the streets walking towards the track or grocery store. But they had a high respect for me.
Interestingly in Japan Valentine's Day is the guys turn to get treats. So when you give something to coworkers it's called Gerri Choco. Not the kind from a lover. I gave it to someone who was around my age and the student snickered when I said it was Giri choco. The English teacher became flushed in the face. Embarrassed. What's even weirder is that he never liked me and looked down his nose at me always because I didn't know Japanese and he didn't think I should be working that job if I hadn't studied Japanese before coming. He was not a good teacher though, you could tell by the disorderlyness and disrespect from his students.
Anyways that was off topic, but white day is the opportunity for guys to give girls something three times more expensive. I was privileged to get nice chocolates or things from coworkers. Even though I wasn't from their culture.

The foam is pretty cool.. it's a thick gel but when you rub it with your hands it becomes like foam. The razors work well, although I believe they're made for men. Might not be the best use for female skin.

For some, this V-holiday can be kinduva downer. It's easy for some singles out there to fall on the belief that at this time of year, and other holidays that we are the only single person without a mate/companion and then wallow for a time in discouragement.
1. While it would be absolutely wonderful to have a mate we still know that having a mate doesn't solve all of our problems - we all have friends who by getting married have ushered in a new set of problems.
2. I guarantee that all of us who are single have many blessings to enjoy, and should wonder why we as sinners were given such blessings.
3. Ponder what we have instead of what we don't have.
4. Satan likes to see us depressed because it's hard to be a light to others when we are saturated with our own gloominess.
5. Hope - God has given us reason to be joyous and to hope; both for near term and long term therefore we can celebrate hope everyday.
I always miss all the good things, especially when it comes to ladiesIf only you'd been here the two previous years, man. Someone here hosted an entire thread dedicated to each of us guys (who wished to be involved, anyway) a chance to treat a lady here who we were randomly matched with as someone special on V-day. All in the spirit of well-meaning friendship, of course, but still, it was awesome.

Valentines Gift Exchange
okThe relational needs of a child of 10 aren’t the same when they’re 20 or 30. Time and experience impact their wants. Some needs help us flourish. Others are a response to pain, fear, and insecurity. They’re the counterbalance of coping and defense mechanisms that allow us to interact within our comfort zone.
You asked what God was waiting on and I replied He isn’t. I don’t believe He’s withholding a companion or waiting for me to do something or reach a certain point. That’s debunked through unions at various stages of readiness and maturity.
My experiences tell a different story. I dated before my reconciliation and after its commencement. Connecting with the opposite sex wasn’t aided or hindered by faith.
Which suggests I’m the holdup. I’m putting on the breaks relationally. Not Him.
That’s difficult to swallow if you need to believe otherwise. If you’re unable to confront your part in the dilemma you may reference God, societal changes, feminism, religion, superficiality, or a litany of reasons commonly mentioned. Save the one that counts.
I’m not single because of God or lack of opportunities. I’m single because I haven’t encountered a suitor who complements my readiness and expectations. I need someone with a similar trajectory.
I ended with a question I’ve confronted in the past. What would you do if you weren’t afraid about God? Family? Friends? Your livelihood? And so on. I’ve made radical changes in those areas. Now its time for more.
What would I do if I wasn’t afraid to love? I’d pursue the man of my dreams. The one who possesses the qualities and passions I long for. He’s the one I want.
I haven’t encountered him yet. But I will.
awww I'm amazed that when I let God turn my troubles over to him he creates these opportunities that become even bigger opportunities later. It was through some hardship of not having a car well in college that I had to figure what I was going to do for the summer that led from one connection to another that led my heart to Japan. Living in Japan had so many amazing stories, but it was not dreamy at all in a very dark time of my life without the fellowship I was blessed in America with. Just finished trying a little experiment. Had some encouragement to do it from a couple people. It sounded magical but we will see how it turns out. these are water balloons with dye in them. My hands are such a mess and it took me awhile to get the hang of it. It may not turn out because maybe I would need more dye, not sure.

This is going to be a busy week for me. Lots of things to prepare for, including a presentation on Friday.
I've been making good progress. More control of tibre and intonation across octaves, fewer random squeaks and honks, better articulation, etc. Although most of what I play are exercises, I'm noodling around a bit more, and (hopefully) sound more tuneful. Regardless of how busy I may be, I still set aside time to practice.How’s the sax coming along?
