That’s one of the reasons I haven’t made an effort to connect with girls for a while. I think it’s important to ask “can I?”, but you also have to ask “should I?”. I don’t want to be unequivocally yoked with someone who’s more mature in their walk. I think I should sort things out first.
Not enough are.Everyone isn’t able to deal with mental illness in a healthy fashion. A close friend of mine was bipolar. I helped her deal with the condition but the methods I employed wouldn’t work for most. I’ve known her 23 years and have liberties I wouldn’t possess with most.
I think you need a certain measure of patience and grace. I don’t pretend to have it.
Not enough are.
I may have an idea of what you mean tho. It can depend on the mental illness. I too knew someone w/ bipolar, had him for a roommate, & it wasn't fun.
I watched Hey Arnold,
Doug,
My favorite episode was Helga continuously yelling through a megaphone outside of Arnold's apartment all night about how much time he has left to live when he accidentally got on a big dumb jock stereotype's bad side earlier that day.
I grew up on PBS kids, until we got cable...I don’t remember when that was.Rugrats was my favorite cartoon growing up. At least the first few seasons.. until it became garbage (pretty much the Dill years and after..)
Which reminds me .... Doug Funnie really had an issue with constantly trailing off into paranoid or delusional fantasies every episode when you think about it, but say what you will, this rap video he once made up in his head on the spot is fantastic.
A part of me likes her. The bravado was entertaining. But the other part thinks she’s nuts and should leave him alone

She was entertaining, yeah, but did suffer from some personality flaws, I must say. ....
Really? That's sad. I can't imagine having a childhood without cable.. although we just had basic cable.. nothing too fancy.. lol.
Although honestly Recess is probably my favorite cartoon of all time.. although I didn't start watching it until my later kid days. Made by two of the original creators of Rugrats too.. (the good ones). A pretty smart and intelligent show.. and if I ever have children.. I'll be sure to make sure they watch it.
Yeah, the PBS kids shows were kind of odd, with the exception of Mister Rogers. I didn’t really appreciate all that he taught people, I think i was more impressed that he had a functional train track that was interwoven with his house.
Same, I didn't mention it b/c, despite how crazy crazy big it was on the network, I never actually really knew anyone who loved it to the same level I did, & many actually didn't like it, & now I think Hey Arnold is my favorite.Rugrats was my favorite cartoon growing up. Recess was on Toon Disney, I think. We didn't get that, so I was only able to watch Recess at grandma's house. I liked a lot of stuff on Toon Disney, but Recess was amazingReally? That's sad.
