^ Something to that effect? Or are they still flexing holiday snaps to make out as if they travel all the time?
I enjoy it too and the groups.
Yeah, pretty much. I don't mind the campy memes, or even the pics displaying their be-jealous-of-me life, as annoying as it is. It's the unbidden opinions and virtue signaling that I find so disturbing. I don't know. It's all so trendy.
To be honest, the only thing on my wall is art, because that's what walls are for, lol.
If you are actually concerned with the environment, invest in marine phytoplankton - and literally put your money where your mouth is.
I'm not mounting my soapbox here, we really DO need to control livestock populations and restore the seas. Well, no, actually, we don't - not if you don't care about another pandemic hitting us again in the next decade. (They say COVID is bad. But I think (as a whole) we've been massively let off the hook this time. Consider it a fair warning.
Anyway, I don't want to waffle. But you do have to wonder don't you? You can NOT afford to switch off in this day and age with the amount of social engineering that goes on. When I was a kid, I honestly thought brain washing was just fiction - and the sort of thing reserved for tacky movies and teenage novels.
If I'm to be single, I pray for that peace. I meet those kinds of people. I know what you're talking about.I don’t believe limited opportunities means no. Most people called to singleness have an internal certainty that isn’t the result of circumstances. And they have peace.
No kidding. I've lived w/ untidy friends/roommates.It can be difficult to live with an untidy person if you value order.
Or you’re better than her and she hands it off!
I would definitely have board game nights. I want to learn more card games. Real card games. Euchre is big here in the Midwest. It's like Hearts, if you know that one. That's about the only two I really knowThank you. I was influenced by Proverbs 31 and period films. Togetherness is powerful. We had a standing game night on Friday. I brought in treats and we played board and video games. I think the combination of quality time, family time, and time alone is ideal.
I tried wind instruments growing up. Those are tough. You really need to have good lungs. I want to try string instruments. It opens up another avenue for connecting. That’s why I love the violin. Every school of music or lay society has a chamber ensemble. Practicing and performing together is nice. What would you take up?
Pastas, of course. Those are generally pretty easy & don't use too many ingredients, but there's a wide variety of different ways. What are your favorite dishes and sports?
& the churches I go to might participate in them tooMaybe you can search for annual conferences to see the calendar and make a note of the ones which look interesting. The majority rotate locations and may be coming your way in the near future.
Yes we.
Thank you. That was kind of you to say.
Christian dating is relatively new for me. I wasn’t raised with the ideals many reference. I don’t want to be in a state of overthinking or micromanaging my dating life.
I want an equal. That implies a mutual sense of contentment, worthiness, and wisdom. He values himself to the degree he’s willing to wait. He doesn’t pull the trigger on the first person who shows interest or chases fantasies.
He’s able to make an honest assessment of himself and what he’s seeking.
So true.Sometimes you encounter the one you want but you aren’t ready for them. Especially when you’re ruled by scarcity and fear. You establish walls and roadblocks. They’re relational barriers.
His why is important. It isn’t because he’s lonely, wants someone to talk to, desires a family, or is afraid of being alone. That can’t be the reason I’m his choice. You can fill that void with anyone.
I do like the "snooze for 30 days" feature. I don't remember that the first time around.
But then everything went political and reason went out the window.
It is really scary. I didn't realize how susceptible people are to nonsense. All the dystopian scenarios seem like live possibilities now.
That was the plan.
It isn’t people. Everyone has been exposed to some degree of manipulation. The only difference is you recognize your neighbor’s problem and can’t detect your own.
If you believe you’ve gone unscathed they’ve done their job.

Sports, the only ones I really play are golf, & exercising (running, weights, biking).
But sports events I attend are more diverse. I live in Midwest remember, so hockey is my favorite.
There's nothing wrong w/ those reasons as long as those aren't the sole reasons he chooses YOU. A man is probably going to have at least a couple of those, else he probably wouldn't be seeking a relationship.
I'm not following your point. I recognize that I have been wrong in what I thought was true, and will be again. But you seem to have something else in mind besides the usual human fallibility. If you see some nonsense I have given into, I wouldn't mind a heads up.
I’m sorry if I was unclear.
It isn’t about right or wrong. We’re all susceptible to influence. Even when we think otherwise.
Agreed. I was "wrong" (misunderstood) your post. If you ever need evidence to show someone else the same point you can direct them to this exchange, lol.
I mistook the ubiquitous "you" for the PH-you're-a-moron "you."
Is that a thing? I had no idea. I'll have to look that up.
I'm with you. I was really hoping this pandemic would bring about significant change. Initially, it seemed to me that folks were being more considerate of each other. And, I imagined in my naive mind that we would become more grateful and address some long standing issues like how we treat the environment and where we throw our money. But then everything went political and reason went out the window.

, it's not a word I just made up LOL
I think if you look for it, MANY great things have come from the experience. The altruistic have shown how heroic they can be, whilst the selfish have sunk to new lows. It's JUST the natural order of things.
I am - however, optimistic, that WHEN we all meet again (properly) it'll feel so good that we decide "enough is enough. Let's - as people, vote for change.
Uh-oh, it's the wolf!Well... Little husky...We meet again.
I played card games growing up. I wanted to learn bridge but never got around to it. We’ll see. I don’t recall if I’ve played Euchre.
No idea. I've also thought of piano. I figured since I can type, piano would just be the next level.Nice, which ones?
True. I watched Lidia for years and learned a lot. Are you Italian?
Cool.I love golf and cycling!
Miss a lot of what?Golf is my favorite but you miss a lot. I’ve never seen hockey live but I used to watch it. I like equestrian, horse racing, and regattas too.
That makes sense. I bet he goes on lots of dates. He's content w/ that, partly b/c he has faith the one (you) will come.Relationships aren’t a cure-all. They’re an opportunity for sharing and togetherness. I’m looking for someone who’s happy and settled. Whose thriving now. Not when I show up. I’m not the source. I add to the whole.
Spades....I think I've played that & that's like Hearts & Eucher too.....People have attempted to teach me poker, but I just don’t get it. Towards the beginning of the pandemic my family played spades, and I think I caught on to that fairly quickly. I’m more of an UNO guy myself, and other games of the sort. There’s a video of a family gathering of us playing UNO, and it was wild to say the least.
