  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

Well, Im old, but unless that is a new lingo like "bad" was good in the 80s....... then I gotta disagree.

I'm glad someone believes I have some good in me...I don't really believe in myself right now. I haven't been able to stop crying since this afternoon...I wish my brain would turn off the evil voices in my head. This latest piece of news...I feel like I've completely broken down. I'm so weak right now...it's infuriating.

Maybe you don't believe in yourself right now, Squeakers :(, but I bet God believes in you. I am praying for your peace in this.

I agree w/ Way... I'm sure that God believes in you. And I'm sure that there are plenty of other people in your life who do as well. :)

Finally released a playable demo of my game earlier today. There was a lot of positive feedback, as well as constructive criticism on things that need to be improved / changed in a future update. It's rewarding to see all of that hard work pay off though, and seeing the community enjoying it. These are a few of the builds made by other players in-game:

So anyway, the deer are eating my shrubs again. Not as bad as last year, but they treat them like their own personal salad bar. Not that I can fault deer for doing what deer do, but still. The speed limit is too slow to cull the population using Bortsss' method, and there's no hunting as this is a residential area. Most people in the neighborhood have 4-5' fences, but that's not enough. They'd need to be over 8' high to prevent deer from jumping over.

I have no desire to harm the deer, and even if I did there are more where they came from. I live near the woods. I just want to discourage them from eating my plants, which means reapplying the deer repellent after it rains.

They did a controlled hunt on a herd of deer in my hometown once. There's several parks near the river that are in the middle of a metropolitan area. A group of deer that roamed between the parks and through the local neighborhoods got so large that they closed down one of the parks for a couple days and brought in some sharp-shooters to kill some of them off. It doesn't relate to your situation Miles, but I thought it was an interesting tidbit nonetheless, lol.
