Despite my Irish/Scandinavian heritage, I have an olive tint too. I think they call it being black Irish, because you have a little darker skin and dark hair, which I also have. I look more Italian than Irish haha

Work.... I need some prayers. I like being a supervisor, but I can't stand it when I have to intervene because people can't be self-accountable. And its such a large group that it's difficult (or pretty much impossible) to watch everyone. So at times it feels like I might be singling people out because I check up on certain people more than others... but pretty much everyone knows who the worst violators are with some of the rules, so that's why I keep an eye on them.

Not to mention, its also difficult to keep myself from making judgments without evidence at times. We had an expensive item get stolen a couple weeks ago, and I have my suspicions about who took it. The person that I suspect is one of the few people who was there when it disappeared, and he has a record. All of the other people who were there have had the opportunity to steal the same item many times in the past, but it never disappeared before. But, without any evidence I can't really say who took it. There could have been other people who had the opportunity that I don't know about. I'd be lying if I said that my suspicions of him being a thief hasn't affected my attitude towards him.

I'm thinking about revising the design again. Maybe round off the area near where the magnets attach, to make it flow better with the other parts. I'd also feel better about having it in my portfolio. Then again, the change isn't necessary and few will ever get close enough to see it, and it's not like filament grows on trees.

Also, I'm thinking about folks from CF Singles past like Little Tigress, GQ Chris, Just a guy named Rob, Quacamolly et al. The last two married each other, as I recall. I wonder what they're all up to these days.

I hope I die before I get really old. I've seen the effects of old age, how it degenerates your body and mind. I've seen the pain that comes with it. Although my health has improved in the passed few months I have no doubt it will start falling apart like a Chinese motorcycle once I start getting older and older. I've had enough pain for one lifetime.

It's a depressing view to take, but it is certainly understandable, Moe. (But God willing you will need not worry about too much more pain in your own lifetime after all.)

Especially if you have seen the problems that caused people in your family to wither and fade before you firsthand. Because, well, you can't help but wonder sometimes if you'll just end up the same way. ... And really, I dread Alzheimer's more than I do the first death since I am a believer and have hope for a resurrection. The first death is bad enough as it is. But to go skyrocketing to the graveyard with the same kind of problems I saw happen to both my maternal grandparents, well ... I think I would be content to make it to just 70.

What's on my mind:

- My bicycling season officially began on Sunday, with a ride on the English 3-speed around the neighborhood.

- Although the temperature only got down to 41, of my plants was damaged from the cold last night. Hopefully, it will recover. They all got water after work this afternoon.

- An itchy spot on my leg turned out to be a tick. Fortunately, I was near a convenience store that sold tweezers and anti-itch treatment.

- Old cars like the one I fixed up after I graduated high school are still available for reasonable prices, but I'm hesitant to get another one. Between the extra insurance and inevitable repairs, I can't justify it.

- I did, however, get an PowerMac G5 to use as the case for my next PC build. I've always liked the all aluminum look.

- I've been so blessed with my neighbors. Unfortunately, some of them won't be around much longer due to age. At least one of them plans to age in place with his wife, and I think that's really cool. He bought his house when he was about my age now, back in the early '70s. I wonder how long I'll be here? It's been years already.

New Nostalgia Critic episodes. Might be recorded before the scandal, not sure.. although Doug released his reactions to the latest Avengers film.. so it seems like he's still making content for Channel Awesome. Think they're just going to let the drama blow over, he's still getting decent views.

Kind of feel bad, there were some creeps with Channel Awesome, but I don't want to see nice people like Tamara become unemployed.
