  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

10 days until Christmas!!

Sounds like you've had lots of fun! :) My mom and I did Christmas cards over the week and should try to get to baking and gift-wrapping soon.

It has been lots of fun but a bit tiring also.

I watched a movie today and I was the only person in the theatre, so it was as though I had my own private screening. I guess 9am on a public holiday isn't prime movie-watching time.

OMM: When I think about some of the things that happened in my old stories, I realize just how ridiculous they were. :p

Eh, I've probably got you beat on that, considering the way I remember how I wrote as a teenager.^_^

Was just looking at posts from Christmastime last year. Some good memories of kindness and humor. :)

It was a good time then, wasn't it?

From what I saw of your old work, it made a lot more sense than my old stories, haha.

Note to self: If I have a free morning, and want to see a movie in a movie on the big screen, 9am is a prime time to do it.

When I was first considering buying an Italian car, everyone brought up reliability and I liked the car too much I ignored it thinking it wouldn't happen if I maintained the car correctly.... today on the highway, I lost acceleration and was stuck for some time, before having to get towed into town to a garage. Now I plan to sell it after I get it fixed. Stories become reality and it's too risky having a questionable reliability car which could break down anywhere. Lesson learnt.

That's why I bought a Japanese car. Reliability was a priority.

I've never owned Italian, but I have owned German and American. The German car had the worst (wurst?) reliability of them all. It was comfortable and had good road feel, but it would break down at the most inopportune times. Now I'm a little leery of European cars in general.

I actually came across a very profound quote on Facebook from one of my friends just now, and for once it wasn't some political-leaning trash talk.

"If you don't heal what hurt you, you will bleed on people who did not cut you."

"If you don't heal what hurt you, you will bleed on people who did not cut you."
That is indeed profound, and has a lot of truth to it.

Unforgiveness is like a poison, which seems quite prevalent nowadays. Forgiving others who have wronged us in the past is not only a command, but also frees us from that prison of contempt, and allows us to heal from whatever caused it. It's also an act of trust, knowing that God is perfectly just. He will either work in their lives to bring them to repentance and eventually allow restoration, or will bring justice in due time.

When I was about to get up this morning I must have stretched wrong somehow because now I can hardly move my neck without it hurting so badly I'm in tears. Can't even hold my head straight right now because of the pain.

One wrong move can mess up a whole day.

Sorry to hear, Multifavs. That happened to me a few years ago, but I think the pain went away completely by the next day or so. Praying for you today.

Yeah, unfortunately that can happen, and the stiffness and pain may not go away for hours. Are you better by now, I hope?

Thank you so much (and also thank you to @CodyFaith!) Actually, I didn't have many plans today anyway, lol. I might still be able to do a little more of my drawing. I hope everyone has a lovely Thursday. :)
