  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sometimes these things can clear up dramatically overnight (that happened to me when I put my back out), so hopefully that'll happen to you too. Which doesn't help you right now, but unfortunately all you can do is wait. :(

Wow, all of a sudden I feel somewhat better. It still hurts if I try to move my head to the right, but I can almost hold my head straight and move my neck some without pain now. Prayer works. :)

I failed a test I had this morning, I'm really annoyed with myself, money wasted and now I have to wait 3 weeks before I can do it again. I know we learn from our mistakes, I already know where I went wrong, but it still feels frustrating

Listening to Dark Side of the Moon at the moment, which I haven't done for a while. I usually cite Wish You Were Here as my favourite Pink Floyd album, although I think that's partly through a desire to avoid going with the herd. But while it's possible to make the argument that Dark Side is possibly overhyped, it's definitely worth being hyped as it's a really good collection of songs.

Different denominations, different theologies... but still the same faith, still the same Christ, still the same united hearts and united cause for Jesus and his gospel. God has his people spread out, guiding us all at our own pace and in his own unique ways. All children of God. All sharing in his birth.
