Hello everyone. I've been doing some thinking and would like some prayers from my fellow singles.
Jesus said the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbour like yourself. This commandment implies that we are expected to love ourselfs. The problem is I do not love myself. I can't remember a time where I ever loved myself. I've spent most of my life disliking myself, feeling self-pity because I didn't win the genetic lottery and envying others that I see have better lives than me. I would like that to change. It sounds impossible to me, but God can do impossible things.
The first commandment is to love God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. I have not done this either. I do not hate God, I've just been angry at him for my life circumstances.
I believe there is a reason for God doing all this, I just wish I knew why. I hate not knowing. I would like to and I have that love and reverence for God that I see others have. Thank you.
