I will be praying. Let us know the outcome. 12 hours almost everyday for me the next two weeks. Depending on decisions with management with weather. Hopefully I can check in.

Now THAT sucks. Worst I ever had to do was 7 days straight.

Thanks we'll see. I'm wore out from yesterday. Yeah, I just don't know what to expect. At least they are allowing me to go to my doc appointment that took 3 months to get in.

I met this group of Christians in a park in London while painting some time ago - I hate to think that they're part of a cult, but I'm getting that weird feeling that they might be. That said, they are one of those VERY happy African churches, who like to go out and spread the word. So perhaps I'm just being incredibly cynical.

Keep in mind, I've been let down by my own brethren before. I need to let other Christians in again.

It's possible that you might have a gift of discernment. It's good to keep those things in the back of your mind when relationships like that get deeper. I had that in college but it took time to find out that my first intuition was spot on. They were called The Way.

I had an encounter also when I was in the army when I first became a Christian that's something didn't seem right. I got saved through them but later as I got involved with The navigators and in the word, what they were teaching didn't line up.They were called New Testament church. Initially before I got saved they picked me up in their van when I didn't have a car to get around the post and to church. They were in suites going around the barracks asking and inviting. They're usually are red flags that you can pick up.

Sometimes I wish I worked a part-time job too. 40 hours is lukewarm. It takes up most of your life & time off is only a tease. Most of the time I don't even feel like doing anything in the evening anyways.
Since work seems like it's all you do, you might as well go all in. I think a big mistake was shortening the work week from 6 days to 5 days. (Now they want to shorten it even more. People do things thinking it'll be better but it only makes things worse b/c of consequences they didn't think of)

Also I thought they said life goes faster as you get older? The work days drag. I think life goes faster when you're younger because you're having more fun & you grow up so fast

It is all how you look at it. My weekends are precious to me :) I love my evenings and my weekends. I shortened my work week to 4 days per week a couple years ago and that was a great decision. Even with a 5 day work week there is still plenty of time to fit in enjoyable things. Also the average person needs some days to rest and recover. A six 6 day work week leaves almost no time to rest and recover. It's not even mentally healthy to work with little breaks. You are basically dedicating your life to work.

Yes, I think flexible hours like that would be really beneficial.

My employer used to have flex time where you could work extra on like Monday so you don't have to work Friday, but they went away with that (too much fighting over it). I think I could like that too. But maybe it'd be even harder coming back on Monday than what it is.......

Feeling under the weather, was up all night, and called in for work. Hopefully, tomorrow is better.

It was snowing when I left work. Not sure about now.
You get snow where you are????

It can be if you don't have to shovel it. My mom just got off the phone with me and spent three and a half hours and shoveling because it was too heavy for the snow blower. They had to get the drive cleared for my dad's doctor appointment
I don't have a drive to shovel. I'd shovel your drive. I like shoveling snow. It's good exercise . :) (but it's sometimes inconvinient!)

You, too, huh? I wonder if we both caught the same kind of bug. Thankfully I did not have to worry about calling in as I took the rest of this week off after getting out yesterday morning.

Coping with this small illness right now by resting on the couch while viewing John Wick 4.

If I may ask for Sir @RileyG and myself, everyone please pray for our fast healing, from whatever it is that is ailing us.

you and everyone here are safe from my thoughts of more than my dear brothers and sisters in the Lord.

You are too kind and humble, Sampa. I don't think any of us would feel like you meant harm if you were to think romantically of anyone here. *salutes*

And thank you for your prayers. Shortly after I made that post we ... ehm ... had a painful bout where nausea came to its inevitable fruition, so to speak. Thankfully the Lord is to be praised for granting my prayers that the pain of nausea would not last long before it got purged away. I feel weak, but much better. And rushed off to the store before it could close to get the usual consumables to help with general sickness. My immediate family via text were gracious to help with prayers and suggestions for healing ... and rehydration, as you can imagine. I seriously think I lost at least a quart of fluids - if not half a gallon - in the last two hours.
