So I just saw the movie "Everest" yesterday. It was a good movie, but I'll never understand why people would want to risk their lives to climb that mountain. It's an impressive accomplishment maybe, but I don't think it's worth risking your life.

nobody lives out my way...I was going with an older couple but still had to walk to their place and they didn't always go...and the girl I was picking up near me has now moved and going to another church. :-(

Sir Edmund Hilary said he climbed everest because it was there.
Which I suppose as good a reason as any. But he also had help with Tenzin Norgay. I don't think he could have climbed it without him.
