Why would you suggest there's a possibility that our faith could be a lie, even if you're only speaking hypothetically? God is not a fraud.

His profile says he is a Christian Seeker. Based off how he worded it, it seems he is no longer a seeker but a new Christian. There will be doubts for years upon years

No amount of wealth or fame alone will allow you to enter God's Kingdom. Sadly, most of the inhabitants of this fallen world think money can "buy" happiness and realize it can't. True peace only comes from God.

Would you leave Christianity for $1,000,000? Maybe $2,000,000? If you were offered a Bentley or Rolls Royce car to turn your back on God, would you make the deal? Would you renounce Christ for a top of the line Rolex or Breitling watch? What would it take for you to leave Christianity?

Personally, I would never leave Christianity for anything. In fact, the Devil even offered to make me a multibillionaire to depart from my faith, but I rejected him many times.

What an appalling question.

When I mentioned that Satan offered to make me a multibillionaire and subsequently rejected him numerous times because of my zeal, how is that "appalling"?
Your rejection of Satan is not appalling. Satan's question is appalling.

You know what's also appalling? Your avatar. It apparently features a saintly-looking Christian burning in hell. How could that not be appalling? It's blasphemy!

Facetiousness aside, you can tell that I misunderstood the intent of your avatar (to make a point). You have likewise misunderstood the intent of my original post. You called it appalling but didn't explain why, so I'm assuming you didn't understand the point I was trying to make.

By no means was I encouraging or promoting apostasy. My intention was to create a topic where users could discuss their perseverance of faith despite the temptations of this world.

That's it. Quit thinking I have sinister motives.

I did leave Christianity...for roughly four years. I was prideful and judgmental. God chose to have me experience the judgement I was putting on my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. It was horrible. I just came back last week.

Welcome home!

I never thought you had sinister motives, but the question is still appalling. As for the avatar, that is Polycarp the martyr burning at the stake. If your conscience has been pricked, then heed your conscience.

Nothing in this world is worth giving up eternal life. Our life here is so short.
Right. People only think about the here and now...not what happens after u die...plus I could never give up someone who loves me more than I love myself, that always listen to me, and genuinely wants the best for me and wants to be with me forever.

If anyone can give god up...it means they didn't know him at all.

Christianity is not a religion but a cult. Your personal relationship with God—that is religion.

There is no relationship with God apart from Christ. So I think I'll continue being a Christian, if that's alright with you.

Not too sure about that. I'm a Christian, not because somebody told me years ago, but because I explored and decided for myself to be one. And I'm still seeking. I don't think we'll ever know all of the answers to all of the questions, here on this side of life. But I do believe we should keep asking them.

What do you think is the possibility that every religion is telling the truth when each one is claiming the same thing as we do and each one as zealous in theirs as we do?

I used to be in the Pentecostal denomination most of my life and a Catholic before that.

I left the denomination because of the many beliefs I saw that doesn't agree well with scriptures

And then I sought other denominations and saw the same problem. So I don't belong to any Christian group anymore. I am simply Christian because I believe in Christ and what He represented, although my creed is my own based on what I have come to know.

If my intentions weren't sinister, that means I didn't set out to ask an appalling question in the first place.

It isn't appalling to start a discussion about Christians' perseverance of faith in a world of temptation. Quit being so touchy.

Perhaps a more useful question: why did you join Christianity?

Good question. I was asked that question at my confirmation as a young boy. My answer was simple. I joined Christianity because my parents wanted me to.

I was not a Christian at that time and did not know any better. Many years later when I considered myself a fine, upstanding Christian, I was shocked when Jesus Christ found me and saved me. I assuredly did not want to be saved or to have anything to do with the Bible, but Jesus Christ saved me. As a result, there is nothing whatsoever that will divide me from Him.

John 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.

Regarding your testimony, you refer to Christianity, the Devil, and two "I"s 1 "me" and 1 "my". But there is no Jesus.

Congrats on passing the tests so far, but beware the next one could use your own strength against you.

When I was young, I boasted of my strength, my faithfulness, my blessings. Now, just want to boast in Jesus.

Nothing... not even death, or dying, being killed, or even worse, cause I've been tried and tested in that, so I know now... Definitely not money or things...

Only thing I'm unsure about is being tortured mercilessly into rejecting/denying Christ or Christianity...

God Bless!

Beware overconfidence:

Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial
Matthew 26

31 Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written:

“‘I will strike the shepherd,
and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’[c]
32 But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”

33 Peter replied, “Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will.”

34 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.”

35 But Peter declared, “Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you.” And all the other disciples said the same.

Why are you so defensive? I read your post and understood your intention. Nonetheless the title of your OP is still an appalling thought.
