Hello Jeff, and welcome to CF.

I wanted to let you know, since you are new and may not be aware of the rules ...

It is definitely against the rules to state or imply that someone else isn't a Christian. It's also not a good idea to address someone's PERSON, especially if you're going to say critical things of them.

You may certainly address theology, teaching, or doctrine. We are here to discuss that. But we are not here to speak badly of one another.

I would really suggest you might edit your post. I haven't reported it, but it could get you in trouble.

Again, welcome to CF, and if you need any help, please let me know.

Jesus was very critical of false teachers. Paul was critical of Peter and others. I'm just saying that I don't see the fruit that comes from the spirit. Don't misunderstand, I'm not deciding who goes to heaven and who doesn't. We must be critical of false teaching and expose it just as Jesus and Peter and others did.

15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves." 16 By their fruit you will recognize them.

If Jesus was on this forum, Wouldn't He rebuke the false teachers? Would Paul tell someone to expel the immoral brother?

I'm not trying to pick on anyone or pick a fight, but the truth is many will parish following a false teaching, and that breaks my heart. It needs to be pointed out so that some may live.

How do you do that exactly, anything else I missed? I am a member of his church. I know WHO the Lord Jesus Christ is and WHAT he did.

Funny!:ahah:
I'm sure he is just only asking.
But Obamacare covers HIV and stuff.

When I explained that all sins are forgiven, he replied that only a "multitude" of sins were forgiven.
I say that multitude cover all of them, except for rejecting God Spirit with intent.

Paul made many mistakes due to his pre-conversion life as a hater of Christianity.
Mostly, he only changed who he hated.
He did not become a Jesus, as many like to imagine.

Many of the saints seem to be confused as to what constitutes a "work". So I will ask this rhetorical question. What must we do to receive forgiveness, and if there is something we must do, is it work?
John 6 tells us the "work" we must do

Be sinners.

Christ died for the sins of the whole world. Christ died to save sinners.

The only thing we do to is be sinners. It is God who appropriates the work of Christ by the power of the Spirit through Word and Sacrament, He does it for us, we do nothing.

Does HIS SACRIFICE cover those who do not believe?

One could say yes and no.

Yes so that all may be given the opportunity to believe and not perish...

Ad no because of his foreknowledge he knows who will respond to the gospel and who won't so there was no need to die for those who refuse the gospel.

In other words, depending on whether you subscribe to the Calvinistic view or the Armenian view.

Just curious...

Where do people go to be forgiven?
a) in a Mosque
b) in a Hindu temple
c) in a Jewish synagogue
d) none of the above

Catholics have the confessional box and their priest

The Catholic adherents believe their sins are forgiven there.

Just who are those in the "many?"
Whats that got to do with the topic.
Arguing who is just a rd attempting self justification .
But for your sake i will tell you .
Me for one in my past.
And the many we have since seen come to true repentance after thinking they were already saved .had devils cast out of them and were set free filled with the holy spirit evidenced by tongues . thats who...for a start.
There are many thousands like that in dead churches all over the world.the scriptures foretold them. Gatheing teachers to themselves who speak what they desire to hear and no longer sound doctrine.

It's a tricky kind of question, but the answer has to be "no," based upon the word of God.
Yes. Based upon the word of GOD than CHRIST's SACRIFICE is for just those who believe even though all are sinners, just those who believe are justified in the sight of GOD because of their faith in HIS SON

If CHRIST's sacrifice was for all, there would be no need to preach THE GOSPEL

Jesus forgave all sins. People go to most all churches to learn that their sins
are already forgiven by God. The only work involved is believing that.

To the ONE who washes

Wow, now its tough. Who do you think is the one?
laundry.jpg

With 350,000 congregations in the US
34,000 Christian professing denominations in the world
4,200 religions in the world
Which is the one?
One will wash
The others will burn
