Sabbath has meaning as a day of rest even in the sinless environment of Eden according to the Bible.

Yes indeedy! We rest on this day because God Did as the commandment says. And because He rested on this day He blessed it and sanctified it. Hence why we are called to keep it holy.

To try to tie Col 2:14-16 to the weekly Sabbath that started at Creation Exo 20:11 when God made everything according to His perfect plan is an attack on God’s character that He made the Sabbath to be against man basically saying God was against man from day 1.

Nope. . .it was a prefigure/type/pattern of our true salvation rest of God in Jesus Christ (Heb 4), which is why it was so important.

But both Sunday keeping scholars and Sabbath keeping ones - affirm the fact that the TEN - all TEN are included in the moral law of God. Where they argue is whether it is ok to edit the Law of God in the case of the Sabbath commandment.

That is very different from a shadow animal sacrifice ending at the death of Christ.

No more different than a shadow Sabbath rest ending at the death of Christ, our Sabbath, where we rest in him for our salvation and not in our own works.

Heb 4:8-9 presents another Sabbath rest for the people of God, the NT Sabbath rest--from one's own work to save and in Christ's work which saves.

Verse 9's Sabbitimos, Sabbath keeping is being said in relation to verse 4 and 5 where it says that He spake in a certain place on this wise, and God did rest from all His works. And to this again he speaks, If they shall enter into my rest which is stated to be the Gospel in verse 2.

How do we know? Because Verse 10 says he that has entered into that rest which is the Gospel ALSO ceases from his own work JUST AS God did from his. The rest that we entered which is past tense and the ceasing from work are 2 different things not one. This is seen by the word ALSO. Sadly, its not going to make a difference. Regardless how many times God said not to edit His commandments Deut 4:2 Psa 89:34 Mat 5:18 and we are told to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Heb 4:10 1 John 2:6 and even if it goes against what Jesus said Mar 2:28 Mat 24:20 John 14:15 people believe want they want 2 Corinthians 11:4
