Although I have heard some people say that it makes cooking very difficult. It's the one area where we do tend to rely on smell a lot.

Yeah... most food tastes really bland.

In my opinion probably the biggest drawback... although I still love eating food. Even if sometimes I wonder if I'm actually tasting anything or not... the chemicals that are released still are satisfying.

Sorry, I was unable to flesh out my thoughts, probably because I don't know what "flesh out" means. But I will say this - ask any human which of their five senses they'd choose to lose if they had to lose one, and they'd say smell. Not that big of a deal. If you were a dog it would be huge, but you're not. Plus there's a lot of bad smells you don't have to deal with. It's kinda like what Norm MacDonald said about diseases: of all the diseases, if you've got alcoholism, you've got the best one.

Yeah, I don't consider myself as disabled or anything... lol.

Looking at my grandfather's high school yearbook from 1933-34.

Sad to read, especially the handwritten notes on the pages. They look like they were printed yesterday.. 99% of these people are probably long dead.. just goes to show that things will eventually end for our generations.

I don't like it when proper nouns have the article "the" in front of them. Ukraine used to be called The Ukraine. I'm glad people don't say that anymore. There's that city in The Netherlands called The Hague, and there's a city in my state called The Woodlands. Why not just Woodlands? It's like if you had a son and instead of naming him Robert you named him The Robert.
