Yes and no. Being a parent is all about teaching your child/ren to walk, so that they can then walk away from you into a life of their own. It's bittersweet, but it would be worse to keep them indefinitely infantilised.

No more talk about tattoos. I'm putting my foot down on this. It's my thread I'm the king here.

Lol.. really though... I don't see the appeal of getting a tattoo. While I might like something... I'd have a constant nagging feeling about someday regretting it. I also don't want to be barred from being buried in a Jewish cemetery.

From time to time I've considered getting a tattoo, but it's been hard to be convinced that I won't outgrow my love for a particular design.

I was quite taken, a few years ago, with the idea of a tattoo done in a glow-in-the-dark ink; invisible in daylight but it lights up in the dark.

Or henna designs. I've done those a couple of times, and they only last a week or two.

Henna? Is that middle eastern? Can guy have Henna tattoos?

I shudder to think of the dorky tattoos I'd be stuck with right now if I wasn't hesitant about getting them when I was 20. Like a Marqis De Sade tattoo. Or Mr. Rogers smoking meth. I'd probably have both right now...

Have you not seen henna designs? Although it's probably more common for women, apparently traditionally men wore it too. If you google "henna tattoo for men" you'll see some stunning images.

I've seen some a while ago. From Google it appears they are meant to only last a few weeks, that's cool.

I heard Marylin Manson is a Christian now. I never expected that. I also never understood why anybody liked him. He looked creepy and his only good song is "The Beautiful People" and I think that was just a cover.

He looks like garbage now too. Like he's an angsty 90s teenager who's a few years away from being a senior citizen. I can understand having a look... but I'd want to age more gracefully.

I imagine it must be quite difficult to invest so heavily, and so publicly, in being a particular way, and then to change direction.

Yeah, I guess. Madonna might be worse. Shes like in her 60s and still dresses scantily clad. I think Cher does too in her 70s. I'm sorry... no one but some granny loving freaks want that.

As someone who is old myself... I don't like it... but I guess I'd want more dignity. Maybe realize you're just not a rock star anymore... you can still make music... but maybe try to be more down to earth?

The only old guy rocker that can still pull the image at an old age is Ozzy Osbourne. IDK why... he still makes good music... and the look... eh... doesn't stand out as much. His brain is scrambled... so I guess in some sense it seems more genuine... lol.

I guess I can just buy it.

I heard he's in trouble with the law. Regardless if he's innocent or not I think it's best if he's locked away. Put him in solitary and bar him from writing letters. No media appearances... I think the world has had enough of him.

Maybe women like Madonna, in their sixties, have reached a point where they can own their dress choices, rather than it being about what other people want. I've heard other more mature women speak of a sense of liberation from having to please everyone else.

As for Ozzy Osbourne, I understand his music's made him ridiculous squillions of dollars. He can probably please himself, too!

I doubt it. Madonna is probably messed up in the head like Marlyin Manson. She made out with some unsuspecting guy at an award show and he looked visibly disturbed... but social media pressure made him compelled to act like he wasn't.

I think Madonna needs to like go to prison for the rest of her life too and put in solitary confinement. I'm sure she's done enough illegal drugs to warrant it. The world doesn't need her around either.

Or send them all to the funny farm. Paulie Shore can go there too. I mean at least with the rest of them... they actually were someone... Pauly Shore was always failure... he's like a never been has been. I think he's even more earnest for his "prime years" than the other cast of characters. Probably one of the worst people in human history.
