CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I recently discovered a quiet, unassuming British motorcycle tinkerer on YouTube by the name of Allen Millyard who has somewhat raised the bar with what can be acheived with a few hand tools in a shed. He now has a lathe and a milling machine he restored, but a lot of his earlier creations were mostly prepped with a hacksaw and file.
Absolutely amazing. He built a V8 motorcycle engine out of two inline fours, took two cylinders from a radial aircraft engine and built a 5 litre V-twin from scratch, and designed and built front forks and rear swing arm to bolt on each end of an 8 litre V-10 Dodge Viper engine. He also designed and built a downhill racing mountain bike for his son which still outperforms state of the art commercial mountain bikes, all in his little shed.

One more from me, this is an older project done about maybe 7 years ago. I was going to make these and sell them, but painting was just taking all of my time and could not really work this in. Just made about 3 or 4 of these.
This is an Icosahedron with a stand i made all out of wood. 1/2 birch plywood, and pine for the curved hanging support and the square base was just regular plywood BC grade. Not crazy about my design but i just left it as is.

I know this isn't something I "made," but I planted six fruit trees with my kids lately. It's a ton of work to plant fruit trees properly. My back isn't happy with me about it either! Technically the Lord Himself made the trees, I'm just the one putting them in and trying to do it right.
