What DID you think about turning 30?

30 didn't bother me.. It was 31 that had me feeling over the hill..

NO way, my mom started running at 50 and is 54years old. She gets first place in 5k's and I hope to also.

Turning 30 didnt bother me, it was more like a shock that the 20's were over so quick. lol For my 30th birthday though I went out and bought my self a guitar and started teaching my self to play. It was something I had always wanted to do but didnt for some reason or another.

At first I dreded turning 30 but I always joked it off as "I'm not getting old, I'm like a fine wine, I'm getting better with age." But sometimes I feel way over 30.

I had a huge surprise party that made me feel really happy to be past my 20's but when I woke up the next morning I realized.....I'm really an adult. Got to start acting like one. Then I went to grab some Cap'N Crunch and shrugged it off.

i was just conscious of it. 6 months till i'm 30. 1 month till i'm 30. 1 week. 1 day ... and i realized that i hadn't thought of what i'd be doing or expecting once i turned 30. i had my 20s planned and achieved those plans for the most part, but i never really considered 30s (or 40s for that matter). i think of it as a time to mature. i'm thinking of what it takes to be mature. overall, i like it.

Mostly, I feel like my life is going by way too fast! I never pictured what my life would look like at 30 but I guess in a way that is good because I am not disappointed by expectations that I had....lol

Before I hit 25, I got angry at people who were in their late 20s and thirties and acted like they were old. Then 25 hit and it was a rough time for me... I had a lot of aspirations that fell flat in an ugly way and I still feel like there are some things I need to "prove". I guess until I do that or outgrow that feeling, I'll have mixed feelings about my age.

Wife threw me an awesome party and had even some friends from 8 hours away show up. She turns thirty in Feb, so I am gonna have to get her back for that one.

I didn't think much about turning thirty, actually. I know it seriously disturbed some friends of mine, but I didn't care. My only caveat is that I started having pain in my left knee that year and it has been a thing since.

I agree with this so much. Even in my 30's I know I shouldn't be self-deprecating and go on about how old I am but I do! I should recall how I felt at 25 - oh so 'old' and yet looking and feeling great.

I always thought I'd be married, have an established career and kids in my 30's (cuz having them in my 20's was not attractive to me). I'm actually pretty content with where I'm at in those areas today.

I loved turning 30 and in fact my 30's have so far been more fun than when I was in my 20's.
