Nope, just curious... Why wouldn't humans grow gills? Would it have anything to do with the fact that our DNA does not have the necessary information and thus it is not possible?

No it would

A) Require having gills or the many, many small mutations that could eventually lead to gills to be beneficial for surviving or producing more offspring.

B) Require many, many changes because we don't have the right set up for gills

Jesus didn't perform His miracles in the cover of darkness but in full daylight, often in front of sceptics and unbelievers.
Need to get the English proper. It is written, by unknown anonymous authors, 60-90+ years later, revised and translated over a few hundreds of years, that these events happened, with witnesses that no other historical accounts confirm. There weren't witnesses, there are claims of witnesses.

Lungs are simply internalized gills. We do actually have gill slits in the womb, you know.

I found that most people typically reject God for emotional reasons. Like they are angry at God about something or they just don't want to submit to what they feel they should or something.

My rejection of Christianity is much more based on the things that I've learned about it and discovering questionable things about the Bible, it's origins etc.. It's nice to see that I'm not alone in my journey, even though I have no friends I can really relate to.

I have a personal blog where I try to generate discussion among my family and friends and any passers by. Feel free to visit and add any comments.

No... the reason it is not probable is because, unless we are pushed into the sea (by some event) and there is a mutation - then yes... and this wouldn't happen in 1 million years... it would take millions...

p.s.
our DNA could have information about gills and it is not used...

Just a quick browse thru that site & I can see he is not very biased at all is he? :p

He should study the Bible better if he really wants to sound like he knows what he is talking about.

http://www.geocities.com/paulntobin/apologetics.html

How many subjective theories have been presented as though they were facts?

Interesting site by the way but so far similar arguments to what are out there, mainly aimed at exploiting peoples lack of knowledge.

Now, the fair thing to do is go & study what the other side claims & look at independant unbiased accounts too, right? ;)
Read the ENTIRE site before making snap judgments. Show me where he's wrong. He's been working on this for nearly 20 years. Lots of effort and I haven't found much to criticize.

So, they reject God for some emotional reason, but they still believe that God exists? How would this work? Is this similar to me being angry at my friend from school and rejecting him? If so, then although I'm an atheist, I don't reject God.. :)

Nobody has anything but an unscientific theory as to how life actually began, or even where gene pools came from. But if they make pond scum from common elements in a lab someday, I will revisit some kind of biogenisis earth-bound theory.

I won't hold my breath.

Rad

Please define gene pool in your own words. Feel free to give us an example of one.

Rad, just stay away from the subject of abiogenesis and evolution. You're not doing yourself or anyone else any favors.

Please tell us, in your own words, how information is carried in DNA. What is the smallest unit of information in DNA?

If I've found points he has made on the first page I visited which show a lack of understanding of God and Biblical theology, what is the point of reading the whole site? I might as well speak to a kindergarden kid about Biblical theology.

What's the point of talking about religion with somebody who can't admit that they might be wrong? I might as well talk to an insane person.
