Had weird experiences all my life, an angel in a vision as a child, etc. I knew the Lords prayer by heart even though no one taught me. I come from a non-practicing moderate Muslim family by the way.

Anyway, when I was in my teens and early twenties, got into the sex/drugs/rock'n'roll scene. Every time I was in trouble I found myself not praying to Allah but to Jesus. Don't ask why because I don't know. If I was in trouble I would pray, all other times I would be a devout atheist.

In my mid-twenties when I started to get my life back in order I got involved in some new age religion, although I was mostly agnostic. Had some experiences there as well with darkness. That scared me enough to leave.

Visited the house of St Mary in Ephesus for the second time, again prayed and lit a candle.
