I watched it a few months ago. I thought the first half was very good. It looked like it had the potential to tell a good story. But then the second half ruined it for me. It tailed off into being some save the world type saga. To me it failed. But that's my opinion. Others would probably think differently.

Definitely. It's one of my favorite movies. It doesn't have much "play it again" value to it, but it's still intense.
