It sounds lovely.....i've never had Yorkshire tea but it sounds elegantly flavorful

Yes, it is quietbloke's favourite brew. Yorkshire tea seems good with hard water...we use it at our log cabin in Wales but not here at home where the water is very soft. Our water comes from the Lake district.

Is hard water mineral water?

the hard water flows through lime stone and collects lime as it goes, giving it a 'peculiar' taste to those of us from the North of England. Not necessarily mineral water.
Our water doesn't flow through lime stone, it perculates through non porous rock and tastes so good.

That is good to know.....some people here in the states have well water...it has minerals in it and is considered "hard" water.....
