It's not hidden away or anything.

Then God said, "Let the earth produce every sort of animal, each producing offspring of the same kind--livestock, small animals that scurry along the ground, and wild animals." And that is what happened.

    English Standard Version
And God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds—livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.” And it was so.

    New American Standard Bible
Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so.

    King James Bible
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

So here is where all life evolves from the earth, including man:

And here is where God changes man into His spiritual image:

24Then Godsaid, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattleand creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so. 25God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.…

Man walks on the ground too.

God formed those creatures then said for them to come to life. They come from dust, as do we---it says nothing about them taking years and years to develop.
    Gen 2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air;

We are not beasts. God formed us from dust on day 6 in His image. It does not say He "remade." You can believe whatever you want. It just is not in any way biblical, and denies the power of God that clearly states when He speaks it is done.
2Ti_3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
You are trying make His word fit into evolutionary thought and it does not. Evening and morning for each day of creation.

    What's it say in Swahili?

    Why just pick on Hebrew?

Thanks. You are free to back up what I found with your passage.

Just becasue you don't know scripture, is not a good reason to ignore it when presented to you.
And this passage comes first anyway. (Genesis 1:24 And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.) Use it to help understand that later passage (Genesis 2:19)

I've been told that Hebrew is the most accurate.
    Here ya go:

24 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so.

    "bring forth"
    yatsa - verb go or come out Ethiopic go forth (in sense of germinate), grow; Phoenician יצא march out; the source (of water);

    In Swahili:
    MLANGO 1
24 Mungu akasema, Nchi na izae kiumbe hai kwa jinsi zake, mnyama wa kufugwa, nacho kitambaacho, na wanyama wa mwitu kwa jinsi zake; ikawa hivyo.

I'm not intending to oppose anyones ideas. I am showing what I have found upon examination of scriptures.

Really, you do not know the answer to that question? Perhaps you should study a bit of Kabbalah to see why God used the Hebrew language for the Bible. Hebrew is the language of God and English is a universal language made up of words from other languages like Latin, French and so on. English came along after God confused the languages at the tower of Babylon.

I don't think he bed her immediately. He was still one with God for a time before the Fall.

We are Sons of Adam. But before Adam, humans were just animals. Still part of all life that grew out of the land before God changed man to be in His own image, spiritually.

I'm under the impression the New Testament was predominantly written in Koine Greek.

It is not ignored. You do not take a verse and make a theory out of it. It must take into consideration the whole of scripture and understand what the whole picture is, not just take a verse out of it's context to try and built your own view of things. Scripture, taken as a whole, tells the whole story. The Hebrew language is highly interesting and very descriptive and one word can have many meanings.
2Ti_3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
You also must take into consideration the very nature of God. To bring forth does not mean that something has grown on its own. I've brought forth purses, dresses, pants out of material---it is still I that brought them forth.

Pro_3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Humans were not mentioned until day 6---and that is what Adam means--human.

HUMAN: Of, relating to, or characteristic of man. The first man. All of mankind as the descendants of the first man. (Derived from a root meaning "blood" and "of reddish color.") Hebrew: אדם a-dam-masc. AHLB: 1082-C(N) KJV Translations: man, Adam, person, Strong's: #0120

We are separate from animals, a unique creation in His image--contrary to evolution that states we are merely evolved animals. Not one verse you have posted has proven your theory.

So, is that soul genetically inheritable?
Were these 2 individuals then "chosen" among a group of "humans without a soul"?

If yes, to both, then that would mean that all current "humans with a soul" are descendends of those 2 individuals? That would effectively render them the "first humans", since by that logic, all other bloodlines would have had to die out.

    This makes not much sense.

Not to mention that, if you wish to go with a literal adam and eve, that you need to add to scripture, or "interpret" it half-ish as being metaphorical and half-ish as being literal, in order to understand the story like that.

So all in all, this sounds more like a desperate attempt to keep the story while accomodating some of the science, just to not hold obviously false positions. And to transform the clearly false position into one where one can wiggle his way out with a good ol' dose of obfuscation and sneaky claims and premises.

So I'll await your evidence pointing out the "soul" genes in homo sapiens lineage.

After having scrolled through the pages since my last post on page 2 or something....

I must say, it's quite worth to note, how christians themselves in this thread can't seem to agree on what their book says... It's noteworthy to see how you all apparantly can't even agree on the most basic things.

Yet, all of you are preaching to us atheists and telling us that we should just believe as you do. Some of you, are even turning it into half a threat by adding "...or else... you WILL be held accountable".

All the while,.... you can't even agree amongst yourselves.
Tell you what... maybe you people should at the very least first synchronise your own claims and stories, before asking us to "just believe you".

LOL!---Though you do have a point, I do not see where atheism has brought about unity of hearts in all those who believe there is no God. Anytime you get 2 people together, you will have a differing of opinion. Even in the closest of relationships, there will be disagreements. We may disagree on the meaning of words, on differing doctrines, on time lines, and so forth, but as atheists believe there is no God and do not agree on much anything else-----we all believe there is a God, that He loves us so much He sent His Son to die for us and save us from our sins, that we will be with God and His Son for Eternity after death, that this world will be made new one day and that the bible is His word. Which all in all---is still a lot to be in agreement about. God did not create synchronized robots. We do not ask that anyone believe us--we ask that you read His word. The messengers may be less than perfect, that does not make the message wrong.
