  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Getting the game in the mail brings up another question of mine!

Do you do most of your gaming on the PC or the Console?

I don't own any consoles so :p.

If you play on PC do you use Steam when the game you want is available there? If not, why not?

About evenly on both. I did play a little Oblivion on the PC, but it was buggy, so I played in on my Xbox 360 instead.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I play MMORPGs where there's no reason to use Steam.

Oh, no. She doesn't play, she likes watching me play. She played Wizards 101 for a while (which is a very strangely fun game...like playing a kid-friendly online game of M:tG), but as she's 6 most MMOs are still a little tricky for her.

Check out Pirate 101.

Question for gamers: If the game you are playing has a difficulty level what do you usually play at?

I'm more interested in story than anything so I usually go normal/easy.

I usually play the hardest difficulty available unless I need to do multiple play-throughs for some reason. For example, I'm working on playing through Star Ocean: The Last Hope on all difficulties to unlock the higher difficulties and get 100% monster data completion (which requires completing the game 4 times).

I think the idea of the "shopping mall" feel in ME2 was because most of your time was spent in specific wards, and I feel that those wards were all about middle-class living on the Citadel, which involved lots of shopping.

That's probably so.

So far, I personally like the feel of the Citadel in Mass Effect 3 the best. It has a better balance of enclosure and being able to see and go "outside". The artistic design is incredible.

Feel free to add me on Steam. My username there is morningstar2651. Same on Xbox Live and PSN. Just send me a message telling me who you are.

Cool, for the record my Steam name is the same as my name on here: Zoness.

That's probably so.

This deserves serious attention. This was a random level theme from the Ducktales game for the NES, the theme was itself far too epic to just be a random level theme, but what has been done here, is truly magical:

My friend got me into Dragon Age but I forgot how much I suck in general at games and I am stuck already...epic fail haha

Dragon Age can be a difficult game, I know I got stuck a couple times. But it's absolutely worth finishing to the end. I've still to beat Dragon Age II, but I'll get around to it eventually.

Oh yeah, the only way I got through that part I think was that I had my mage with all sorts of crazy spells, so I was blasting entire rooms of enemies without stepping foot in them.

I was doing alright until I hit this one room of mages and they just own me in a couple of hits. Very frustrating.

Speaking of vidya game music... this lady has done some great covers of Skyrim songs:

‪The Dragonborn Comes - Skyrim Bard Song and Main Theme Female Cover‬ - YouTube

Age of Aggression - Skyrim Cover - YouTube

Age of Oppression - Skyrim Cover (Malukah) - YouTube

Tale of the Tongues - Skyrim Cover - YouTube

I never actually hung around in the inns to listen to the bards so she was the first time I actually heard these songs.

She wrote one for Mass Effect 3:

Reignite - Mass Effect/Shepard Tribute Song - YouTube

I played Dragon Age II for two hours, and then stopped because I couldn't stand to play the game any more, it was so amateurish. It's like they had decided to use an unfinished project that had no good creative input.

eudaimonia,

Mark

From what I played, it didn't even remotely live up to its predecessor.
