Valentine's Day

Single Awareness Day - Hallmark holiday...doesn't bother me a bit, single or with a girlfriend...ain't no thang...

Here's what I'm doing:

Saturday morning the singles class at my church has done something quite awesome. A small group of single guys (yeah I'm one of them) are preparing and serving breakfast/brunch for 30+ single ladies from the church. So they get a meal, some flowers, gifts, massages, and waited on hand and foot...all free of charge to them. I think it'll be a big hit.

Since Single Awareness Day...er...um...Valentine's Day, means much more to the ladies, the guys decided to do something special for them. I know they are all looking forward to it, so it should be pretty sweet.

Saturday night - another group getting together and getting into something...don't know what yet...

That sounds nice michiganst8fan! I hope your ladies at church appreciate the fellows efforts to make sure they have a nice day! Maybe I should pass this idea on......

Oh, and I hope they return the favor somewhere down the line!

I would just like to add another post to this thread.. now V day is over!

For the last many mnay V day's I always imagined all those lucky people with their S.O's having a romantic time.. so this year I am married... so I get to be all romantic and have a lovely time, and what do we do??? We go to the rubbish tip!!!! argue and then buy a gravel vac for our fish tank! lol

So I would just like to debunk the myth that eveyone in couples is having a lovely time

I posted this another forum, but I thought it would be appropriate to post here too.
God showed me so clearly this year that Valentine's Day is really all about appreciating everyone that you love, not necessarily romantic love! I got the most lovely valentine card from my brother, I had a great time with my friends on Saturday, and I got to spend Sunday celebrating my little niece's birthday. I couldn't ask for a better Valentine weekend . I hope that everyone here enjoyed their weekend, too!
