We aren't declaring it, Israel is, and always has, but now were are acknowledging it. This might not seem like a big deal, but the entire reason Israel exists is because America, the UK, and Russia acknowledged their existence when they declared it. Without that, they would have been simply been invaders or immigrants, and support would have been much weaker, and the Israeli state would have been unlikely to have ever gotten off the ground.I don't see how the U.S. president can declare anything official about another country. I'm not seeing how U.S can impose laws or give another land to another country. It bothers me, that we stick our nose in thing, we shouldn't. This isn't just a Trump thing. It's just things that seem to always happen.
I like how Turkey is in NATO and can spout this off, all after we simply decide to acknowledge Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
They are supposed to be an ally.
I mean for goodness sakes, could the guy maybe generate and deal with one international crisis at a time?
Even making these blunders sequentially rather than simultaneously would be an improvement at this stage.
THe US doesn't come under a prophetic time line. You are look at Jerusalem in man terms when God says His ways are not your ways. He has a specific plan for Jerusalem and when the time comes ( His time), it might look awkward to man but it's going to happen.Well now---I wonder if a bunch of nations getting together and deciding that the capital of the USA should be Jacksonville, Florida would be acceptable to most of us. Nobody had the right to tell the Israelis' where their capital should be to begin with. God gave them their land, it is theirs and they were not to give it away. What they did wrong was to agree to give away their land to the Palestinians who never existed to begin with. If they had stuck with this is our land, period, and not allowed anyone but God to tell them what to do with it---they wouldn't be in this mess. He would have tended to the details as He always has. God has His won plans and He will do what He wants no matter what the whole world thinks about it.

If God has such a vested interest in Jerusalem, what's He need Donald for?
Using Donald as a tool to execute His will? "Mysterious ways" doesn't begin to cover it...
My religious is about Jesus, not prophecies. I don't see why I should accept stuff that is not edifying towards my faith but in fact harms my middle eastern neighbors by inflaming a volatile situation.
The traditional Christian belief is that the promises made to Abraham were fulfilled in Christ, and the "promised land" is in heaven with God. Christians are the Israel of God. I do believe that God remembers his "ancient people", and loves them as he loves all peoples, but the obsession with Israel is quite unhealthy.
Then there was no point for Jesus to state in His great prayer when instructing how to pray " thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven" . There are prophecies in Daniel to be fulfilled and Jesus' final return is after those are fulfilled. Others have been filled over time, on time. So will these be, regardless of what you believe . God has a plan and He will enact it, it will happen according to His will not a churches tradition. Jesus is part of the prophecy, not in place of it. law was fulfilled through His blood ,as is our salvation. But the prophetic timeline still clicks and when the Father says go, He is coming. My religious is about Jesus, not prophecies. You can if you'd like...however, it's not exactly relevant to why the Palestinians are upset about foreign interests carving up their country in order to bring 100,000 Jewish refugees in post ww2...and why they would view it as a huge slap in the face for the US embassy to be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
God has always used human leaders and nations to stir things up, fulfill prophecies.
Well, God certainly used the best possible tool to stir the pot this time...
The Palestinians had a country "post WW2?" No, the Palestinians did not have a country after WW2 to be divided by foreign interests. Rather, the land of Palestine, after WWI, was governed by France and Britain until 1948. The Palestinians did not have a "country" in 1948.
(Country here, understood by mean, to mean a nation exercising legal authority as a governmental entity over a land and people in the land.)
The other Arab nations want the Palestinians to have their own homeland so they don't have to deal with them. This latest dustup will hinder that process.
