two verses from John 14 are exceptionally useful

John 14:16-17 (Jesus speaking) 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

and John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Firstly, the Spirit is given a personal pronoun "he" (αυτος in Greek), and secondly, the Spirit, the Father, and Jesus all seem to be separate because Jesus says "He will" in reference both to the Father, and to the Spirit.

Why would anyone think that? I mean, it's a theoretical possibility, but the Bible describes him using a personal pronoun, and Jesus said he would be sent from the Father. No one describes any person as "sending" himself.
If I "put forth" myself in love by a written letter, then I have sent my love. If you do not have a Exhaustive Concordance, then you should get one. I have both the "Strong's" and "NIV."
I looked at those verses you had marked in red, and they are not 100% correct.

In Romans 8:27
New International Version (NIV)

27 And (he / God) who searches our hearts knows the mind of the (Spirit / spirit,) (because / when) the (Spirit / spirit) intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

God knows our spirit by what is in our hearts and minds, and by interceding for God's people. (Our works or deeds)

But that isn't what it says and not what I noted. It's similar, I suppose, but I still think the wording isn't comparable.

I believe you are referring to Der Alter, not to me. I do seem to remember commending his post to those who want to think of the Holy Ghost as only an arm of the Father or some impersonal force.

How well would men accept the Holy Spirit if "she" had been used?

The spiritual is not sexual as physical sexuality. Words have an end to their meaning in spirituality.

Names given to the worldly are very deceptive, for they divert our thoughts from what is correct to what is incorrect. Thus one who hears the word "God" does not perceive what is correct, but perceives what is incorrect. So also with "the Father" and "the Son" and "the Holy Spirit" and "life" and "light" and "resurrection" and "the Church (Ekklesia)" and all the rest - people do not perceive what is correct but they perceive what is incorrect, unless they have come to know what is correct. The names which are heard are in the world [...] deceive. If they were in the Aeon (eternal realm), they would at no time be used as names in the world. Nor were they set among worldly things. They have an end in the Aeon. -Philip

It's not as though that can be simply dismissed.

On the contrary, it seems pretty clearly to describe two (somethings), not one (the Father) extending himself into the physical world.

My previous post and your response.

The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Trinity. He is fully God. He is eternal, omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, has a distinct will, a distinct mind, a distinct self, and can speak. He is alive. He is a person. He is not particularly visible in the Bible because His ministry is to bear witness of Jesus (John 15:26).

Some false teaching religions like the Jehovah's Witnesses, etc., claim that the Holy Spirit is nothing but an impersonal force (Reasoning from the Scriptures, 1985, pp. 406-407). This is false. If the Holy Spirit were merely an impersonal force or power, then He could not speak (Acts 13:2); He could not be grieved (Eph. 4:30); and He would not have a will (1 Cor. 12:11), a self, (Jn 16:13), or a mind, (Rom 8:27).

The truth is, there are, at least, seventy two (72) personal characteristics or attributes, listed in scripture for the Holy Spirit and He is a person the same as the Father and the Son are, within the Trinity.

Interesting, but there are different ways to translate those verses. I will copy them down to make a further study.

I responded, "What makes you think there is a different way to translate the verses since you have not yet studied them?"

Greek and Hebrew do not always translate well into English.

This incorrect generality does not support your claim that "there are different ways to translate those verses" There may not be a word for word English translation of every Hebrew and Greek word but Hebrew and Greek can be translated thought for thought. For example, the Hebrew word ולא תנאף׃ requires five words to translate into English, "You shall not commit adultery."

This is apropos of what? I assume you are trying disprove all the scripture I quoted by this one ad hoc example. This one example does not take into account that I listed. When you send your love can it do all these things the spirit is listed as doing, Access to God, Anoints for Service, Assures, Authors Scripture, Baptizes, Believers Born of, Calls and Commissions, Cleanses, Comforts, Communion with believers, Convicts of sin, Counsels, Creates, Empowers, Empowers Believers, Fellowship with believers, Fills, Forbids action, Gives gifts, Glorifies Christ, Guides in truth, Helps our, Indwells believers, Inspires prayer, Intercedes, Interprets Scripture, Leads, Liberates, Molds Character, Produces fruit, Raises from the dead, Regenerates, Reveals, Sanctifies, Seals, Sends, Sent, Strengthens, Testifies of Jesus,Victory over flesh, Warns,Worship helper?

Q:The Online Bible Strongs is not the same as my Exhaustive Strongs Concordance. Why is that?
A: We used the Strong's system but the actual Greek and Hebrew to implement the numbers. By doing this we corrected about 15000 errors in the Strong's concordance.

http://www.onlinebible.net/faqs.html

Rebuilding Strong’s time-honored concordance from the ground up, biblical research experts John Kohlenberger and James Swanson have achieved unprecedented accuracy and clarity. Longstanding errors have been corrected. Omissions filled in. Word studies simplified. Thoroughness and ease of use have been united and maximized.

I was reading about the theologian and Bishop J B Lightfoot today. He seemed to be a world renown scholar of the Catholic church in the 19th century. He helped to rewrite the Bible and said he had to change 39,000 words.

Because of his outstanding scholarship, Lightfoot was asked to be part of a team that made the first ever official revision of the King James Version of the Bible. He worked on the New Testament. Altogether, the team made about 39,000 changes in the text of the English Version (most of them to accomodate changes in English). This work was finished around 1880.-christianity.com

This list is not exhaustive, but good enough to show the Triune nature of our God.

Jesus said: I and the Father are one.
Jesus said: If you've seen me you've seen the Father.
Jesus said: If you knew me, you would know my Father also.
Jesus said: You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.
Jesus said: If you do not believe that I am He, you will indeed die in your sins.
Jesus said: You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.
Jesus said: Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.
2 Peter 1:1
Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours:

2 Peter 2:20
If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.
2 Peter 3:2
I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.
2 Peter 3:18
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
Col 1:19-20
For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
Col 1:9-10

According to the online NIV @ Bible gateway, the word Spirit is capitalized. Your interpretation is wrong the verse does not say "God knows our spirit by what is in our hearts and minds." It says "He (God) ... knows the mind of the Spirit, because [not when] the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God." This verse as written, not as you have tried to rewrite it, says that the Spirit has a mind.

"God who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit"...

We also have a spirit. We can also intercede for the people of God in accordance with the will of God.

That wording is only in John 14, 15, and 16. The wording is strange for the English language, but still, it is about getting counsel from His Holy Spirit. In other words, (He puts forth Himself to give us counsel.)

I believe that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God the father/Yahweh. I believe that john 14 is just one example of many instances wherein God personifies his Spirit in the same way that Mary did when she said "My soul doth magnify the Lord". Personification is not a well accepted concept in Christianity, in my opinion. So for me there is nothing strange about the wording in John 14.

Facts about Trinitarianism. Christian Forum

In Judaism, the idea of God as a duality or trinity is heretical.
I mined that quote from your link.

Did you know that during the Second Temple period the idea that God was a duality was both widespread and orthodox within Judaism?

Strong's has been found to have about 15,000 errors or omissions.

Online Bible FAQ
Q:The Online Bible Strongs is not the same as my Exhaustive Strongs Concordance. Why is that?
A: We used the Strong's system but the actual Greek and Hebrew to implement the numbers. By doing this we corrected about 15000 errors in the Strong's concordance.

Doesn't really address my post in any way does it?

My understanding is that the Holy Spirit is a manifestation of the Father and not another person.
Being "one" is all about unity. A husband and wife are "one." We are also called to be "one" with the Father in the body of Christ.
