Many great bibles before KJV.

Psalm 12:6. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.7. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

Purified Seven Times: * 1384. John Wycliffe translates the whole Bible into English for the first time in history. The "Church" repays him by condemning him as a heretic. * 1536. William Tyndale burned as a heretic for his Bible translation work - the first printed English Scriptures. * 1537. Myles Coverdale's Bible translation published "with the kings most gracious license." Later, during "Bloody Mary's" reign, he is hunted for his life and forced to flee England. * 1539. Coverdale's "Great Bible" chained to the pulpits by order of King Henry VIII. Christians executed for reading the Bible without a license. * 1555. John Rogers burned to death for publishing the Matthews Bible; becomes the first victim of "Bloody Mary," queen of England. * 1560. Queen Mary commands all "heretics" to return to Romanism or face the consequences. Many flee to Geneva, and the exiled church leaders produce the Geneva Bible. * 1611. The seventh major English translation of the Scriptures, the King James Bible, is published and adopted as the Authorized Version, authorized by the people of God as the Word of God for the English-speaking world, "Purified Seven Times

English isn't a good language for the Bible though. I don't care aboutyour interpretation. The Bible was written in several languages, and Jerome translated first. Even the books you guys think should be left out.

When the King James Bible was produced, French was the international language. The only reason English has become the defacto international language is due primarily to the growth of the Internet, which was only in English in the beginning.

No, it's not perfect for the Bible. It has only one word for agape, filio, etc. and it doesn't convery the real meaning of 'eat' in John 6. That and several other reasons prove the point.

The KJV uses charity a good word for agape in Corinthians. And what verse are you referring to in John 6 the word eateth my flesh the Word eateth means

It is just what it means

“probably strengthened from a collateral form of the base of 5134 and 5147 through the idea of corrosion or wear; or perhaps rather of a base of 5167 and 5149 through the idea of a craunching sound; to gnaw or chew, i.e. (generally) to eat:--eat.”

And John 6:53 “eat” means exactly what it means (yes there is a spiritual meaning but that is seen by those who have eyes to see)

“a primary verb (used as an alternate of 2068 in certain tenses); to eat (literally or figuratively):--eat, meat”

So what are you talking about?

Agape is self-sacrificing love. The love of Jesus on the cross.

The word used in Greek is trogo, which means gnaw.
As I said, English translation isn't sufficient.

It means gnaw, as an animal does to a bone. Which means Jesus was talking about eating his real flesh and blood, not some symbol.
