According to the Eastern Greek Orthodox translation. I wonder if they got it wrong.
Greek has always been their language.

Koine=common, the language that was spoken by the Greeks at the time of the writing of the NT. Altho some words might have changed just as English speakers know the meaning of ancient English words, e.g. "truck" once meant vegetables. Greeks know the ancient meaning of Greek words. Whereas most "scholars" learned Greek as a second language. Apropo of nothing. I started learning Greek in 1959 in Germany. I was an Army cook working in what we called a mess hall. I had learned German about 7 years earlier. There were civilians working in the mess hall. Civilians in Germany so I spoke German to them. One said to me "You speak good German. We not German we Greek." I said "So teach me Greek." He pointed to a table and said "trapezi." That helped me 12 years later when I studied Greek in graduate school.

Who created hell? Who decided that hell would be the default eternal abode for the vast majority of humanity? Hint: It was the same one Who created everythning else.

But they're gonna live forever in hell, right?

Because that's where you believe God decided to fling 'em.

St. Paul says the wages of sin is death. You lot say the wages of sin is eternal life in torment. One of you is wrong.

There are only two places in eternity. The place where God is, and the place where God is not.

Those people who reject God in this life will automatically go to the place where God is not. They will probably be surprised to find that many of the things they enjoyed and desired in this life will not exist in the Place-where-God-is-not (Hell), because those things were provided by God.

Each of us is given many opportunities to recognize God and the love and blessings He bestows on us, to turn to Him in love and gratitude. But the sad thing is, the majority of people choose not to do that, but to feed their own selfish desires. When they go to Hell, it will be because they desire to live without God. Since He is the source of all Good, Hell is bound to be very unpleasant place.
