Which is why we have people looking at the newspapers instead of scripture. As J.C Lyle said 'Ignorance of the Scriptures is the root of all error'.
And I am saying if they so choose, they can. God does not force any one to remain in the Lamb's book of life, if they choose not to be there.I’m saying that no one can remove their name from the Lamb’s book of life.
They never don’t choose to not be there. And I am saying if they so choose, they can. God does not force any one to remain in the Lamb's book of life, if they choose not to be there.
That's true. Even though many denominations would disagree as to the exact significance of the return of Israel in 1948, given the importance of Israel in the bible 1948 must clearly have significance. I don't know how a Christian could say otherwise with a straight face. God Bless
We aren’t close. The leaven hasn’t worked it’s way through all of the flour yet.Israel is one of the topics where many Christians disagree. For me it's clear. God has not forsaken Israel. He still loves them. He still has a plan for them. But first, He will finish with the Church, and then, with Israel. It's written in more details in Romans 9-11. Romans 11:25 'I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in,'
Yes, Israel hardened their heart by sinning and being unfaithful, and God as a punishment, hardened their hearts even more. And it will remained hardened until the full number of Gentiles has come into heaven. Then, God will remove their sins so they can see that Jesus is Messiah. This will be the one third of Israel that survives the antichrist.
When God saved me, He gave me a heart that loves the nation of Israel. For me, the parable of prodigal son is Israel. Israel has abandoned God, but in the end they will return to their loving Father. God is not finished with them, His covenant with them is not finished, they can still return to Him through Jesus Christ.
It pains me when Christians say God is done with Israel, or that the Church has replaced Israel. We have been added to them. The Israel are still God's elect, Christians are the Priesthood of Christ (yes we are the spiritual seed of Abraham). Even when Jesus came, He first brought the gospel just to Israel, then after crucifixion is spread to us gentiles. Everything centres around Israel and Jerusalem, because God chose Jerusalem as His Holy city.
Matthew 24:32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.'
Israel is the fig tree, and now they prosper. That's why I believe we are so close to Jesus' return. Many think that the last generation is from 1948, but I believe it to be from 1988, as that's when almost 1.5M Jews migrated from USSR (after their deal with USA). A generation in the Bible is 70 years so from 1988 to about 2058, the rapture, the antichrist, the wrath of God, and return of Christ will happen. Of course the Bible doesn't say any of this, this is just my interpretation of things and it should be taken lightly.

Then you should be found doing, not waiting.Matthew 24:45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 47 Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. 48 But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed,’ 49 and begins to beat his fellow servants and eats and drinks with drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know 51 and will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
A good servant wait and serves the Lord every day, the bad one says He isn't coming any time soon. All the signs are there, if only people were willing to study them.
Scripture on that? And I am saying if they so choose, they can. God does not force any one to remain in the Lamb's book of life, if they choose not to be there.
Ah, so when the Revelator said "soon", he meant "soon". That harpoons a great many "end times" notions, dunnit? The definition has not changed in the last 5990 years. Should it constantly change to confuse us?
Ah, so when the Revelator said "soon", he meant "soon". That harpoons a great many "end times" notions, dunnit?
and Rev 12:4And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
Revelation 13:8Scripture on that?
It is constantly soon until it happens. The state of mind of a blood redeemed soul does not follow human logic.Ah, so when the Revelator said "soon", he meant "soon". That harpoons a great many "end times" notions, dunnit?
Jesus would never ever allow that those who love Him first to experience the great tribulation.
So "soon" could mean soon , or it could mean "in a really long time". Versatile word, innit? It is constantly soon until it happens. The state of mind of a blood redeemed soul does not follow human logic.
Yep. But precisely nothing a bout anyone's ability to choose whether of not they're included ion thr Book of Life.Revelation 13:8
8 Everyone living on earth will worship it except those whose names are written in the Book of Life belonging to the Lamb slaughtered before the world was founded.
Doesn’t Jeremiah 31:35-36 prevent Israel from ever again being considered a nation before God?Israel is one of the topics where many Christians disagree. For me it's clear. God has not forsaken Israel. He still loves them.
In reference to "the Great Tribulation of Rev 7:14 Matthew Henry's Commentary (1600's):
III. The account given to the apostle concerning that noble army of martyrs who stood before the throne of God in white robes, with palms of victory in their hands: and notice is taken here of,
There is only one usage of the word "the" before Great Tribulation in the NT. All other usages omit the word "the." The omitted ones do indicate that believers clearly go through many trials and tribulations because of their faith. I myself stood in the Roman Colosseum in Italy and looked down on the arena where the early Christians were brutally thrown to the lions to be eaten alive or burned at the stake rather than refer to Caesar as their King. I have never forgotten that and wondered if modern day Christians would stand as firm as they did in their beliefs. We Christians (as a lot) cannot comprehend that a loving Jesus would subject us to such a thing as they went through!!!
- 1. The low and desolate state they had formerly been in; they had been in great tribulation, persecuted by men, tempted by Satan, sometimes troubled in their own spirits; they had suffered the spoiling of their goods, the imprisonment of their persons, yea, the loss of life itself. The way to heaven lies through many tribulations; but tribulation, how great soever, shall not separate us from the love of God. Tribulation, when gone through well, will make heaven more welcome and more glorious.
So "soon" could mean soon , or it could mean "in a really long time". Versatile word, innit?
But “this generation” means this generation.see my post above.
It's not soon, it's quickly, and that is not the same thing.
