I eat Walmart canned baked beans all the time! That’s not good…

I think canned beans in general are okay if they're just beans, but the baked beans from the article are loaded with sugar and that's what got them on the list! So maybe you could put some spices or something in cans of regular beans and replace the bad with the good.

A lot of this list is simple common sense, and some of it silly.

Most people who try and eat healthy aren't eating in excess anyway. And a few simple sugars aren't bad and is required for good health and energy. It's always about going overboard with things.

A lot of this list is simple common sense, and some of it silly.

Most people who try and eat healthy aren't eating in excess anyway. And a few simple sugars aren't bad and is required for good health and energy. It's always about going overboard with things.
Unfortunately there are a lot of people that equate a healthy choice as permission to go nuts with portions, etc.

Moneywise seems to have an agenda. Any pig farmer will tell you pork is healthy, won't they? It might sound crazy but I have noticed an abnormally high rate of birth defects in people who eat a lot of pork. Hutterites and Amish are 2 examples. Coincidence? And don't blame it on inbreeding. Not that inbreeding is good, but there are tribes way more inbred than anyone in USA, with no where near the rate of birth defects. In fact, USA is probably the least inbred nation on Earth. Yet we have a very high rate of birth defects. Not that all birth defects are due to bad diet, but diet does seem to increase the rate.

Oftentimes sugar is added. It’s better to dry your own (and cheaper) or look for brands with minimal additives or apple juice.

Pork is cheaper to raise. It can be ready for slaughter in six months. Steers can take one to three years. The Amish diet isn’t healthy. In spite of them growing their own food. Pork isn’t the culprit.

Another issue with dried fruit is that you end up eating much more of it than you would if you just ate the regular fruit, so you don't end up getting just one apple's worth of sugar (for example) but many apples of sugar. It's good when you need it...natural sugar isn't necessarily bad...and/or need the calories, but a lot of people just think fruit=healthy and eat much more than needed. Sure, it's probably better than the equivalent amount of candy bars, but even healthy foods can get out of balance.

The same can be said for any food, and even pure water.

Most people can't afford to eat healthily or have the knowledge to do so because of all the lies told and it's destroying both their physical and mental health more and more as time passes.

Simple Sugar is bad for health and not needed at all in a healthy diet. Simple Sugar is addictive and causes many problems within the body. Simple sugar is loaded into so many foods in the supermarkets. Unless it"s fresh food from a supermarket it is very difficult to find anything without sugar.

I cannot believe how many people think you need sugar in a diet. As long as I can remember large companies have been lying about and manipulating the advertising of foods just to sell them and makes profits at the expense of people's health, in the long term. We are now in a situation where people and children are being slowly poisoned everyday with foods.

Simple Sugar is bad for health and not needed at all in a healthy diet

You do understand what simple sugars are? Fresh fruit, even milk contains simple sugars...

Carbohydrates come in two basic forms. Simple or complex. Simple carbohydrates - also known as simple sugars - contain one or two sugar molecules, whereas complex carbs have three or more.

There's a difference between sugar found in food naturally and added sugar. Fruits, vegetables, milk and milk products all contain natural sugars and are essential to good health.

When you're looking at what is negative, don't just look at sugars, rather, look at things with added sugar.
