After the way my "let's not dump on Protestants" thread has gone (now we have Protestants and Catholics battling on there like it was the 16th Century and people talking about Epsom salts), I figured I'd go back to this thread where derailment is actually encouraged! The more absurd and inane the better.

I'm going to get things started with Nien Nunb. Yes, Nien Nunb, the guy from Return of the Jedi. This video made me laugh so hard I almost spat out my drink!

I meant to read that thread (and lots else I missed) but it's been a crazy week (mostly in a good way, thank God!).

My thought for the day---Bernie Sanders looks just like this crazy old Grantham dude from Creepshow...You be the judge!

Gurney Halleck was my favourite tier 2 character in Dune, much more interesting I thought than wither Duncan Idaho or Thufir Hawat. Patrick Stewart did an admirable job playing the character in the bizarre David Lynch film.

Count Fenring and his wife communicated in secret using "mmhmmmhmm" type sounds. Fenring was someaht of a dark horse who was alleged to have poisoned the previous emperor, allowing his friend Shaddam IV to ascend to the throne.

Unfortunately no. That beig said, most British people I fear have rather the wrong idea about firearms, snd so the security benefits of high gun ownership would not be realized. That said, one can own a firearm such as ashotgun in several areas for self defense; Simon Heffer, the noted columnist, is known to have a personal shotgun.

At least you get to watch all the seasons one after the other. Do you have any idea how frustrating it was for those of us who were hooked on Sherlock from the beginning, waiting years for each new season to come out?
