So where's your explanation of my passage from Gal 5?
Yes you do in that you can't post a passage requiring the sabbath be keep by Christians. Your Aramaic version only says what you want the Scripture to say. It isn't true or even close to the Greek.
Sorry but that's not what the Greek text says or implies.
That's what SDA doctrine is a (wo)man's teaching.
Christian Research Institute in its statement on Seventh-day Adventism, says;Yet here you are again with only your words arguing with God's WORD. Only God's WORD is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it *ROMANS 3:4. For me, he must increase and I must decrease. I only point all to the Word of God because it is there we find the one who loves us that we may love him. I know him and am known by him.
All that he shows me I see and must show to all because I am blind. He tells me it is those that say they see that do not see. These are they that have once known him or do not know him. There is only life in the living Word. These are his Words and not my own or anyone elses.
Freely I give because freely I have received. I must speak in the light and what I hear preach in the housetops. Many will not hear because they do not know Him. He is the Word of God and those that believe him are those that he has chosen. They follow him because they love him and are loved by him. Many are called but few are chosen. There is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed come judgment day. At this time however it will be too late for all those who had the chance to turn to God but chose another way.
God's Sheep hear his Voice (the Word)
Christian Research Institute in its statement on Seventh-day Adventism, says;
Those who follow Adventism closely know that the last two decades have been characterized by a deep internal conflict which has divided the denomination and left many Adventist disillusioned. Today, there are various divisions or factions within SDA. Some wish that Adventism would fully enter into the evangelical mainstream, while maintaining certain Adventist distinctives.
Others, the more traditional or fundamentalist Adventists, often reject portions of Questions on Doctrine and seek to hold on to several heresies which arose early in the Adventist movement, such as the investigative judgment, the sinful nature of Christ, and viewing Ellen G. White as the infallible interpreter of Scripture. It is the division of Adventism, who often refer to themselves as “the remnant church,” or God’s exclusive agent, that CRI would regard as being cultic. Some within this camp would anathematize all of Protestantism, arguing that as Sunday-keepers they will receive the mark of the beast just prior to Christ’s second coming. Admittedly, this is the extreme part of SDA, but nevertheless well represented. (apologeticsindex.org/3100-seventh-day-adventism)
Just some info on the SDA, you would think the SDA is just one cohesive organisation. But appearances can be deceptive, after all would you expect any man made organisation to be uniform in doctrine? Is this your bible brother and what does this have to do with any of the posts and scriptures shared here?
Yes LGW, the Pharisees like the apostle Paul had a deep understanding of the law.Certainly the Pharisees studied the bible as it existed then. AS did Jesus.
As far as the law was concerned they both knew the law. The Pharisees believed in a few things that the Saducees did not, hence they merely failed to recognize the messiah.Yet these two factions, Jesus and the Mainstream preachers of His time had almost opposite understandings of the Bible.
I know from some reading of different Jewish interpretations of the scripture, that there were probably a number of interpretations in the first century. I doubt whether the Pharisees were uniform in their doctrine. Nothing ever changes. It is fair to say not all Jews of that time had the same understanding as the Mainstream Preachers.
That's right they were righteous and did not need Jesus, blameless?Luke 1:5-6 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
So there seems to be a trend here.
So did everyone else including the apostles. All are lawbreakers, that is why Jesus died to reconcile us to God.The Mainstream Preachers claimed to be God's people, they read God's Words, yet they "Transgressed the Commandments of God by their own doctrines and traditions." (Matthew 15:3-9)
Paul was a Pharisee but not a lawbreaker according to his own testimony. Don't assume that the Pharisees broke all the law all the time. Now why was it that the Jews sought to persecute Jesus and the prophets? It was because they refused to obey the instruction of God, and created their own instructions, and the other example did not.
Upper case 'C' in the word 'catholic' renders your statement invalid. It is Mainstream Christian Tradition to transgress God's Sabbath Commandment and replace it with the Catholic Sabbath (Sunday worship).
That is ceremonial law according to your interpretation, so the question needs to be asked. Is the ceremonial law binding? It is Mainstream Christian Tradition to transgress God's Food Laws, and create their own definition of clean and unclean.
There are many interpretations in play these days, too many to cover. You will never get a uniform interpretation of the scripture, that is impossible. Even the apostles had issues. So it seems that even today, if a person studies in obedience to God's simple instructions he see's the scripture one way.
More often than not the way you read the scripture is the way you were taught. If a person studies scripture in disobedience following the traditions and teachings of man in place of God's Word and to God's simple instructions, he sees the scripture in another way.
Everyone must hold to some tradition we don't have a real choice. Otherwise we lose the New Testament if we reject the early writing of Christian authors.I believe what Peter taught, that the Holy Spirit (Spirit of Truth) is given to those who do not "Transgress the Commandments of God by their own religious doctrines and traditions.
We must follow the instruction of the apostles and they were men. So at the primary level we listen to the apostles as they saw and spoke with Jesus. Now the important question is who should we obey God or man...............?
True Sabbath obedience no one could ever fully attain to, like the rest of the law. We all fail continually and that is the reason Jesus arrived. To save us from ourselves. The Jews (Pharisees/Lawyers) had placed so many restrictions on the Sabbath commandment through there man made traditions that it had become a burden to the people and was nearly impossible to keep (Luke 13:14; John 5:10-18; 9:16; etc.).
Gentiles were never under the law and that is the critical mistake you make. This was never how the Sabbath was to be kept. What did Jesus teach us about the Sabbath? Let's look to the Word of God.....

Are you saying this because I didn't respond to every word of your post or that I didn't quote it all?Read the post you are quoting from. You did not read it did you.
What makes you think I'm worried? Not really brother. It is a NEW COVENANT. It is not like the OLD COVENT. You can read about it here *JEREMIAH 31:31-34; HEBREWS 8:7-12.
God's ETERNAL LAW however has the same role it always has under the NEW COVENANT and that is to give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172.
If you are dead to sin (breaking God's LAW) and not continuing to sin (breaking God's LAW) you have nothing to worry about.
Right on! That doesn't mean we live by the law given to Israel alone.1 JOHN 3:4 [4], Whoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
ROMANS 6:2, God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
But dead to the law and sin. We're alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. We're not alive through and by the law.ROMANS 6:11 [11], Likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
I opened my Bible and read all of it several times. You want me to only consider your passages and throw out the rest of my Bible. My response is no way as in never. Hope you can understand that.Indeed my friend. Open your bible and read the posts and the scriptures provided to you in love as a help to you brother. Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it over the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God. JESUS says all those who KNOWINGLY follow the teachings and tradtions of men are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9.
The only thing you've shared with me is condemnation and SDA doctrine supported with partial and out of context quotes even disagreeing with Moses.Only God's WORD has been shared with you and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it over the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of GOD. JESUS says all those who KNOWINGLY follow the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9. Only God's WORD is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it *ROMANS 3:4; 1 JOHN 2:3-4.
Hope this helps
OK I'll take another stab at it.Here you go..
HEBREWS 4:9 [9], So then, it remains for the people of God to keep the Sabbath.
Your turn...
For your information my filters are Bible study aides not associated with any religious organization in my religious participation history.Agreed, you look at the scriptures through your own filters.
Please explain what words I posted aren't true. I don't want you c&p stuff.Well that is not true.
What do you want? I quoted your whole post, then made my comment, a question about what you by-passed.Read the post you are quoting from. You did not read it did you.
