Datan, I am most certainly the envious one.
Oh yes there is. It's not what we think of when we think of Christian rock, but it's definitely a Christian song. It was inspired by C. S. Lewis's The Screwtape Letters, and is essentially a phone call from Hell. Bono once said the whole alterego of The Fly was based on the Bible passage "mock the devil and he will flee from you."MacPhisto said:theres nothing christian rock about the fly
Of course not. One thing U2 is, is political rock. Bullet The Blue Sky is one of the best political songs of the last two decades. The following I consider to be U2's best political songs: Sunday Bloody Sunday, Bullet The Blue Sky, Red Hill Mining Town, In God's Country, Heartland, Love Is Blindness.but you could not argue that bullet the blue sky was a christian rock song
Very true.there more of a voice to people who believe in many different values
I don't think they can be labelled as being in one particular genre either, especially not with a catalogue of material that's as varied as Tomorrow and Lemon. "We don't make old music or new music, we make U2 music" - Bono, 1983. So true. By the way, love the screen name!and besides the fact that larry mullen junior and clayton are the best rhythm section in rock and roll they are just a great band. and i dont know if you agree, but i think trying to label them anything other than that is a waste of time and energy.
I could have the show you're looking for. Which one is it? PM me if you want.KenobiKid said:Axver you wouldn't have any idea on how I could track down a show that I was at in 2001 would you?
