Popmart dvd I want!! *drools all over keyboard and surrounds*
I agree with you indigo tree that it seems a bit premature for him to get it yet, theres like 166 nominations though I'm sure he will get it eventually.

As for the dates, I would think they will be going to Texas on the third leg, as they always go back to north America to do more shows in different places. Including "Texas", and I think it will be around September/october once they finish the European dates in August. But they did Dallas TX in the first leg of the Elevation tour as well, It's weird why they didn't this time.

I'm also worried about how I'm supposed to get tickets when they come down my way as they have been selling out in one hour with the added dates in Europe, I think the only way I can get a ticket is to take a day off work on the day they go on sale down here.

I met Paul and Dave - back when they were ummm Paul and Dave heh.

It's amazing how far they have come - Legendary to say the least

So you met them when they were teenages (kids)? Interesting... :D

Anyway after lurking around on interference I found that there are rumors that Lemon and Ultra-voilet are being rehearsed in mexico now.... two of my favorite songs. Hope those rumors are true though....

Does anyone like my new avatar? It's Larry from the HMTMKMKM video. I thought that it's time for change :)

They must be able to read my mind.
WOW! Exit is a surprise... I hope I'ts a full band version  The Unforgettable Fire will be good to hear though I'd prefer "a sort of homecoming"

I am sooooo pumped for the tour now!! ^_^

And I'm about to explode due to a different type of emotion...from news.com.au
AUSTRALIAN fans of U2 look set to miss out on seeing the band in Sydney this year.

U2 has shelved plans to tour Australia in 2005 to satisfy demand for more concerts in the US. The band, led by Bono yesterday gave details of another North American leg, ending on December 19. Fan sites and sources close to the band had speculated the Vertigo tour would head here in December.

Representatives of U2 were believed to have put four December concert dates on hold for the Sydney Superdome, but now the Australian leg of the tour remains on hold until 2006.

Let us discuss the merits of this questionable decision...

I got some pretty cheap tickets on ebay, there are tons being sold, if you are lucky enough to live near a city that has a concert. fortunately, i live close to denver. i got a pair of tickets for $90, less than face value. They are bad seats, highest section, but it is center.

I suppose they never actually committed to those dates...but they were a probability there for a while.

I think U2 fans in the Southern Hemisphere should be very concerned.:o

I remember The Edge getting on Australian TV explaining that the Elevation tour wasn't coming to Australia purely on the basis of economics.

The fact is, the economic outlook for Australia is looking to get worse in the next year or compared to what it was around 2001.:(

Out of the last three tours down here, U2 came twice on the back of follow-up albums (Lovetown-Rattle and Hum;Zoomerang-Zooropa) ...and we know they won't make the same mistakes they did with Popmart which led to recriminations like the sacking of their long-time accountant, etc.

They're not coming here without a making profit.

The only way I see U2 touring is on the back of a Zooropa-style follow-up because the steam has certainly run out of the HTDAAB campaign down here.

The only Australians likely to see U2 this tour will be the staff of luxury North Queensland resorts.

Well we've fallen back here...what is your fave U2 song at the moment...mine would have to be Mysterious Ways or Beautiful Day at the moment...

Definitely "City of Blinding Lights". It's been my "current fave" for a good while.

My overall fave U2 tune is "Where The Streets Have No Name".
