But it seems a few people want to believe that the corpses in Isaiah 66 are still alive and writhing and screaming in pain. Apparently that is their idea of Heaven. Pretty sick, really.
I cannot imagine for a single second being considered a saint in Heaven and yet just watching someone far off being in some kind of perpetual torment, without balking.
I agree, after being tried in the universe courts of Justice they are destroyed. A torture hell place serves no purpose. The justice of God and thus the order of the universe would be upset if devils who absolutely hate Him, were allowed to escape their just punishment. Justice in this world or the next is a part of God's love. It is Satan and those who follow him who are unjust and full of hate--both for God and man.

The Dualistic Conditional Immortality View of Hell
I provided some great verses there that show that the ECT view is not biblical.

But God, who determines ALL things, has said that there MUST be a payment for sin. It is easy to see why--sin that goes unpunished is NOT justice. Many critics of Christianity say that the faith is unjust because the only thing that Christians must do is ask for forgiveness and it is as though they never sinned (even though the obligation to make reparations to those harmed is implied by the Bible). They miss the point that Christ took our deserved punishment on Himself. Justice in this world and the next is served.
I just don't have a clue what hell actually is. I am convinced, however, that I do not want to be there and don't want anybody else to be there.
All the more reason to let the beautiful person that Jesus the Christ is shine through us so that others will want to know him too. Once they do, then hell is not an issue.
We do look through a glass darkly.

And I think we are wise to know that.
Let all praise for any good in our life be unto our King, Jesus.
For He is the One who makes us wise and He is the One who does the good though our hearts and lives.

"In its true essence, religion is a faith-trust in the goodness of God. God could be great and absolute, somehow even intelligent and personal, in philosophy, but in religion God must also be moral; he must be good. Man might fear a great God, but he trusts and loves only a good God. This goodness of God is a part of the personality of God, and its full revelation appears only in the personal religious experience of the believing sons of God." UB 1955
God cannot do the ungodlike thing. It's tragic enough that one single child of God would chose to reject the gift of life and the responsibility that comes with it, but the theory that the Father would desire hellish torture is completely at odds with his nature.
Suppose that those who rebel against the rule of the Universal Father because they don't believe that he is just, moral and good. Eternal torture would only prove them right.Even if the only beings who suffer the everlasting torment are beings filled with spiritual evil such as Satan and his evil angels, the Antichrist, False Prophet, and those who take the Mark of the Beast? That is what I believe--that their immortality makes everlasting torment a consequence. I believe that all the others who are unsaved will have some period of paying for their sins (since they refused to avail themselves of the only one who could remove their sin and its penalties). It is a preliminary judgment. Jesus told us that their punishment will be commensurate with their sin. But then, I believe that, at the Final Judgment, they will be judged to be either "sheep" or "goats". The "sheep" will be granted mercy and the "goats" will be obliterated in the Lake of Fire--the Second Death. It is all there in Scripture. It is very logical.

The same way I know that God isn't a pedophile.
The bodies died, but what their souls.spirits? Some people like to speak as to Sodom was like everlasting fire. -But it too only burned up the bodies, the souls were not destroyed/burned into nothing.
It is a picture of real life. When you see a carcase today it is a picture of death and not life.
