When you go from evolution to dentistry, it helps flesh out nothing.
Sorry if you didn't understand my point.
You made no point. You just went on a tangent about how you've been let down my experts and trained professionals, you then believe that you are in the right to not accept scientists on evolution.
I was illustrating that professionals, even scientists, can be wrong. They are human after all. Think of all the millions who are wrong each presidential election.
Wrong with a presidential candidate is a matter of opinion.
Just because you feel that evolution is wrong, does not mean that you are correct. Tens of thousands of scientists world-wide reach the same conclusion on evolution time and again: that it is a fact of science and nature.
Your statements on professionals being human does not and will not change that.
I don't question that their science is wrong per se, just their conclusions about it in regard to evolution.
I don't question that their science is wrong per se, just their conclusions about it in regard to evolution.
What about the fact there are practical applications of these so-called "wrong conclusions"?
I have no problem with the application of some of the things they have learned while studying organisms. I am the beneficiary of some of those discoveries.
This Asimov quote seems apt:Except that you have nothing to base that on. And yes, you do say that scientists get it wrong with evolution. You do that when you say "oh, well, the evidence is open to anyone's interpretation."
This Asimov quote seems apt:
There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."Anti-intellectualism - Wikiquote
Isaac Asimov, Column in Newsweek (21 January 1980)
Can you be more specific?
You rub shoulders in these fora every day. And everyday you opine that you simply can't believe it. You don't change. You prove Asimov correct with your every post.Maybe if the cloistered intellectuals would come down from their ivory towers and rubbed elbows with the great unwashed things would change.

So's Law.So belief in evolution is the litmus test for intelligence? If so why are there no questions about evolution on IQ tests?
So's Law.
No where in Asimov's quote is the word intelligence nor the word evolution nor IQ.
Your arguments -- nah, strike that-- complaints against evolution are consistently based in nothing more than self-satisfied ignorance.
And you act like that should be sufficient, thereby demonstrating Asimov's aphorism.
Tangents and anecdotes often flesh out a topic.
Now you have found your evolution a rib evolves into a women. But it did not take millions of years.
