what do you mean is this for real?
Its on CF. Everything on CF is real. Unless you're just an imaginary christian? :)
Also..girl on fire, you posted in the wrong thread. Unless you change your avatar to 'boy' I wrote 'guy only' for this one. That's the rule. But you can make your own if you like.

I really don't know about some people. You think they are genuine then they just turn out to be joking. Sigh. Although I did mention a 'hypothetical single girl of your dreams you met at a dance who hates starbucks but wore a really nice dress who only wants to dance with you while having a conversation and then a drink that you will ask out on a date and she's wondering what you've got planned' so, you work out what 'hypothetical' means.
Yeah that's right am an imaginary Christian who is actually a dude.....

Actually there is no rules stopping me, you do know other females have posted in here too. Probably like me they couldn't hold their tongue any longer..

This is getting weird your actually trying to control the forum and what people think/do/ if they want to go out for coffee.

Darth I think he meant goodbook and she's from NZ

Is this role-playing? Is that what's happening here? Why is this hypothetical girl such a complicated and unusual character?

I'm having a hard time getting my head around the notion that she's "the girl of my dreams". With the way she's been described and all the conditions that she apparently has when it comes to dates, she certainly wouldn't be.

Well, i would think a guy weird if he couldnt answer a simple email.

A questionnaire isn't "a simple email". If I were sent an email from a woman insisting that I answer a list of the sort of questions that might come up on a date (e.g. what I do for a living, how many siblings I have, where I was born, where I've travelled), I would find that creepy and bordering on stalker-like behaviour.

Well, its very rude of you so I will ignore you.
Why would I try to control where people get their coffee from? They can get it where they like. Just not on a date with hypothetical single dream girl. Shed just politely pass thank you very much. Shes already spoken for.

No, not for me either. If a girl chooses who to date based on where they will take her, that's incredibly shallow.

Oh well. Im sure people have posted weirder things on here. Like the time someone wanted to time travel to a desert island colony or the time someone posted it was the end of the world and a nuclear bomb was gonna decimate america. I think someone actually threatened it was gonna blow up in my country too, but they quickly backtracked and said they were joking.

I dont think ppl should joke about stuff like that. Waaay too much time on their hands.

And im really amazed at how addicted ppl are to coffee on this forum. I thought maybe there would be more tea drinkers. Gosh, imagine, guys asking a girl out to high tea. I dont think they would ever do it though. They couldnt handle all the dainties. And talking about the weather. You know, bog standard friendly chatter anyone can do while waiting for the bus.

I thought in america it would be...the guy would take a girl out and get fast food at the drive thru and also watch a movie in the drive in. They wouldnt even need to get out of the car. The girl would then admire her dates choice of car and leather seats and fluffy dice. Then he would take her home and kiss her goodnight.

Me? Or Goodbook? I'm from the U.S. (Northern California).
Goodbook.

She won't go to a pub. Also she'll smell the beer on you if you try to trick her.
I know two Christian women in my age range who do not drink at all and have gone to social occasions in bars. Besides, I'd pick a place that also serves food anyway, so she can get something even if she doesn't drink. If she won't so much as enter such an establishment under any circumstances, that suggests a level of legalism that would be a stressor in the relationship, because I like to drink beer. Besides, I'm whittling down to the options that are available in my area, that would be open directly after dancing (10 or 11 pm, with a comfortable amount of time before close).

Fast food doesn't impress women here. She'd have to pretty much be in love with you already if she's still going to be impressed with you after a fast food first date.

I'm starting to wonder how much attention you actually pay to what people post as it's been explained multiple times that asking someone out for coffee is not about drinking coffee. "Coffee" is just used as a convenient term to cover the consumption of any beverage (so both parties could in fact be drinking tea), while spending time with that person in a casual, one-on-one situation.

I just realised why people so passionate bout going to coffee places. Starbucks idolatry.

I had no idea ppl felt that way.
The only time i ever set foot in a starbucks is when one of my catholic friends wants me to go so she can use her coffee card. I dont drink coffee and their frappe is crappy. So she orders me hot chocolate, which is fine, but not the best. Its expensive too.
This is because, having a cup of tea is unheard of, she doesnt know how to make one at home.

Ive learned that starbucks logo is the godess astarte, and that the corporation supports gay marriage. Why a company would do that i have no idea. Its weird cos she wont go to any other coffee place. At the starbucks, they sell coffee mugs all stamped with this strange logo.
It would be like a restaurant selling plates and knives and forks. Weird. They even sell teddybears cookies wearing starbucks aprons. I mean what is with all the branding????

Lately i just tell her to go get her takeaway thing from there, and then go somewhere else. If we sit and talk in the starbucks she will end up moaning about her job. I try and be a friend but, its really not fun. Id rather do something else.

So thats another reason why i dont like coffee places.

What's the point in a hypothetical dream girl that isn't at all dreamy?

I mean, if everything we suggest is "She won't like that", then obviously 'dream' is subjective.

You would, I imagine, expect your 'dream girl' to like coffee if you yourself like coffee. Isn't that the whole point? That she's all you want or as close to it? Seems like an awful lot of hang-ups for someone seemingly perfect for you.

Dream does not mean 'perfect'. Otherwise I would have said, or that perfect person might actually be your scary twin who likes exactly all the same things you like. Obviously, such a person does not exist cos we are all individuals. With our own quirks and irdiosyncracies.

Well. The only thing she doesnt like is coffee and alcohol, and no she isnt a mormon, and shes easy going on pretty much everything else. We all have different tastes. You might come across a girl one day who, shock horror, doesnt drink alcohol!

Or she might even be vegetarian or on a special diet cos of lactose intolerance. Or diabetic even. You dont know do you?
