We might inquire as which states are the rich states, where money is made, states with the highest income and GDP. These are who is taxed the highest. And we should understand where the money goes: to poor states (9 the bottom ten being Republican).

The rich are NOT going to leave the Northeast and the Northwest.

Perhaps, the Republicans have support for less federal government action and taxes, and more power to the states. Over a couple of decades, this would simply make the plural Republican states poorer.

Economies are a lot more fragile than you think. Ripping everything apart as in destroying it to create a different way of life, devastates people's lives. History proves it. Hitler came to power because of the great depression, which is what the GND would create. It depends on invention of fabulous new technologies that don't exist, and when that all fails to occur, the fallout will be worldwide, like a 3rd world at war.
No one is proposing ripping everything apart, and the more Conservative Dems and republicans would never let the progressives do anything quickly. It’s funny that you say the GND would cause a depression, when the first new deal is what lifted us out of a depression. Investment in infrastructure projects and expanded safety nets are good for the economy.

Do some checking, States with low or no state taxes are, for the most part growing, while high tax states are not.

Dallas/Ft Wirth is booming. Why? A person making 100,000 a year is saving 13,000 over NY

I moved from NY to OK, ITV was a lateral move and my take home went up 15%. What I paid in real estate taxes in NY for a 1,300 square foot home in 2 months equal what I pay yearly for a 2,700 sq ft home in Tulsa

I did some checking. I do not see this reflected in the numbers.

Fastest growing state, Idaho. Income tax at 7% and higher.
Second, Utah. Income tax at 5%.
Third is my own state, Washington. No income tax.
Fourth, Nevada. Again no income tax.
Arizona 3% - 5%
Texas - 0%
Oregon - 5% - 10%

A List of State Income Tax Rates

Best I can tell there is really no correlation between tax and growth rate. Do you have a study that someone has done linking tax rates to movement?

No, there is no link.

Also, a better metric than income taxes would be total tax burden:
2019’s Tax Burden by State

Most of the fastest-growing states have tax burdens somewhere in the middle of the pack. The list of shrinking states includes those with high taxes (NY, RI, HI, CT), those with low taxes (AK, WY), and those somewhere in the middle (KS, LA).

the
GND deal kills all the cows.
Stops all oil and gas production.
Will spend trillions on unfounded experimental technologies, most of it will be wasted.
Stops people from affordable meat eating.
Grounds all airplanes.
No more coal or NGas heating for homes or electricity production, as it totally relies on solar and wind, and there is not enough land to do that, you will freeze and have blackouts, you wont be able to entertain yourself posting on forums.
Since the oil production will be cut, so too will everything made with oil, and than means an 18th century lifestyle for most people.
Require all buildings to be reconstructed.
Guaranteed incomes for people who dont want to work.
It just gets worse and worse.

On what planet has this version of the GND been proposed?

I suppose that you should post what you are referring to. None of us has seen any proposals that have the result that you state.

We are tying increased population to tax burden. Aren;t we interested in the rich? How much has the GDP decreased in CA, NY, NJ, CT and WA? I submit that the richest states will continue to get rich.

The OPEN question is how much the voters want the federal government to take money from the rich urban states and give the money to poor rural states.

The OPEN question is how much the voters want the federal government to take money from the rich urban states and give the money to poor rural states.

Even within NY state, it's been predominantly the poor, rural, lower-tax, lower-COL upstate counties that have been losing population, not the more expensive, more urban downstate counties.

(the downstate counties may have seen a small decline in the last year or two, but they're still faring better than upstate)

Except that they are. That's largely why the migration statistics are newsworthy.

The data in the OP doesn't support this contention and I haven't been able to find anything on my own to support it. Can you point to some?

Your not fooling anyone who has actually heard what the GND manifesto is about doing, but you may misinform the ignorant who also dont have a clue about life either.

lol, wut?

@GreatLakes4Ever linked to the actual bill that we can all read for ourselves and challenged you to provide support for your claims, while you did nothing but make a bunch of bogus claims and cite propaganda from a GOP senator and a race-car-driver-turned-youtuber. Your charge that he's trying to "misinform the ignorant" is asinine. Do you even know what the words "misinform" and "ignorant" mean? If anybody is guilty of that, it's you.

Another disinformation post, and why not, it fits the proponents of the GND, what they want to achieve by rewriting their proposal to make it seem better. This is what socialists do to worm their way in.
Democrat's Green New Deal Wants to Eliminate "Farting Cows"

While the legislation doesn’t have much more in details about the role agriculture will play in this effort, a FAQ sheet released with the Green New Deal does paint a different picture.

In a section of the FAQ sheet asking about the difference between the goal of going “100% clean and renewable” versus “100% renewable” there is a call out about methane emissions in cattle.

“We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast,

Well, now you just look uninformed or prone to lie when the truth doesn’t support your argument. Either way you’re not going to be taken seriously posting such a warped, dishonest interpretation of the GND.

The original GND was pulled that was posted on AOC's website. And after the outrage, a sanitized version was posted, but you of course will refuse that truth. And not a single democratic senator voted for the GND when it was brought up in the senate for a vote. Because it is DOA, and it still is.
Politicians are political animals, and if they are again defeated in 2020, you can bet this GND will go away for any serious consideration, most likely forever.

BTW, what does reducing the manure coming from cows have to with socialism? Are we more capitalist when we eat more red meant, and consume cows that pollute more?

COWS
There are least four ways to reduce the methane from cows (only one involves consumption)
1) reduce the consumption of beef
2) change the composition of the fertilizer used in the fields where cows eat
3) change the feed
4) restructure manure piles so as to capture methane
