This is just last thursdayism. No theological or scientific value.
You guys make me learn something new very day. The proposition that the universe began to exist last Thursday, with the appearance of age and history. And I suppose our memories also. Cool:cool:

Sinners need hugs.
It's pretty hard to see God everywhere one turns and at the same time see sin everywhere one turns. It all has to do with having God as one's reality in life. But that's a Panentheist thing.

It's pretty hard to see God everywhere one turns and at the same time see sin everywhere one turns.

It would be, if grace didn't abound.

Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

Grace is defined as: "getting what you don't deserve".

That is, Heaven.

It all has to do with having God as one's reality in life.

Oh, He's real alright.

Whether He is blacklisted or not, He's real.

QV my new caption.

But that's a Panentheist thing.

They need hugs too.

"Now" is where I'm at. I've found that it's much better to see every Human Being as an activity of God. It changes one's attitude such that we become a better person in the process.

Can our souls lie?

I know.
Among many issues, this one more than others goes right to the point of my de-conversion.

What made you convert in the first place?

Did God draw you to Him?

John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

I've always been drawn to God as long as I can remember. It took my de-conversion to really be allowed to explore the Divine experience.

As an aside: I'm trying to be very careful of forum rules. So if I appear coy, my apologies.

Yes, I know. He said He would.

It took my de-conversion to really be allowed to explore the Divine experience.

So He drew you to Him, you responded, then abandoned Him for greener pastures?

It's your testimony.

I don't see why you have to fear forum rules.

No one here abandoned God. In fact the connection grew stronger. Way stronger than I could ever have imagined. It's all about the religion that I left, not God.

The rock layers down there have clear indication that they have been undergoing radioactive decay for millions of years. If you say they were created this way--after the Flood--such that their apparent age was embedded in them, is not that basically the same reasoning as the suggestion that we were created Last Thursday with our memories embedded in us? How do you know one is true and not the other?

Only on paper.

If you say they were created this way--after the Flood--

What if I say they were created before the Flood?

-- such that their apparent age was embedded in them,

You mean their physical age embedded in them?

... is not that basically the same reasoning as the suggestion that we were created Last Thursday with our memories embedded in us?

I don't know.

What's embedded apparent age?

How do you know one is true and not the other?

From Wiktionary:

Last Thursdayism:

The proposition that the universe began to exist last Thursday, with the appearance of age and history.

I don't believe the universe was created with a fake history.

But with a fake age.

I don't believe that, either.

You might consider it fake, but creating a loaf of raisin bread would be fake to you too, wouldn't it?
