I don't believe that, either.

You might consider it fake, but creating a loaf of raisin bread would be fake to you too, wouldn't it?
I've bakes a number of raisin breads. Nothing in them were of faked age.

Does your faith in God depend upon
I'll take questions on Embedded Age Creation here.

I define Embedded Age Creation as: maturity without history.
Does your faith in God depend upon your beleif in embeded age creation?

"Baked" is the key word though, isn't it?

If God created 5000 loaves of nice warm raisin bread, like He did in Bethsaida, to feed 5000 starving Hindu families, would you accuse Him of deceit?

Jesus: Here is a loaf of rai...

Lamb: Wait! Don't eat that!

Hindus: Why not?

Merle: It was created last Thursday!

Lamb: Ya. And those raisins only look processed. But they're really fully-grown grapes. I ... I mean baby grapes ... er ... I mean ... not mature grapes at all. They just look mature.

Hindus: Yum yum! Thank you, Jesus! Give some to these two guys too, would you? So they'll shut up?

Nothing there about embedded age. (Or should I say fake age)
But there is Infinite/Divine/Compassion-Activated.

You can't spot the raisins in raisin bread?

Raisins ... you know ... mature grapes, but without a history?

(Or should I say fake age)

Depends on how much you've learned from my posts.

But there is Infinite/Divine/Compassion-Activated.

Activated with what?

Warm raisin bread from last Thursday?

Or warm raisin bread, put together from the elements in a split second of time?

(Oh and, don't forget the embedded temperature of the bread either.)

You know what "temperature" is, don't you?

It's the average amount of kinetic energy in the particles of the bread.

And in this case, 5000 loaves of raisin bread, containing heat without history.

By the script, God poofed the Bread into existence. No planting, no harvesting, no baking, no gathering of elements...nothing. Just the miracle of Bread popping into existence in a time of need.

I on the other hand, when I bake bread, have to go out and go through all of those steps. But I'm not a God who doesn't need to.

Either way. But the way you wrote it isn't what scripture says.

Okay.

Have a nice day.

Come back when you learn the difference between creatio ex materia and creatio ex nihilo.

Ok, then why does it matter from a faith perspective?

There are people out there who are struggling to come to terms with Genesis 1 and Evolution.

Which one is right? which one is wrong?

People on this site have left Christianity because they embraced evolution and deep time.

I'm trying to show them that they're making a serious mistake.

You mean their physical age embedded in them?

What's embedded apparent age?
Uh, huh, but as you admit, embedded "physical age" in Adam is just the number of candles you would put on his first birthday cake. Why put 21 candles on his birthday cake? Because God says he has a physical age of 21. Why does God say he has a physical age of 21? Because he has 21 candles on his cake. Why does he have 21 candles?...

Round and round we go. Your parameter "physical age" means nothing more than the age he appears to be. And so what you have is nothing more than an appearance of age plus a totally fabricated number "physical" age that has zero meaning.

You say the earth is 6025 years old and has a "physical age" of perhaps 4.5 billion. And does it also have an ersatz age of 10 million, a flapdoodle age of 456,567, a bullfinch age of 100 billion, and a flatoutfabricated age of 2 trillion? Make up all the meaningless parameters you want. Appearence of age plus a meaningless "physical age" plus a meaningless bullfinch age means nothing.

Last Thursdayism:

The proposition that the universe began to exist last Thursday, with the appearance of age and history.

I don't believe the universe was created with a fake history.

The view that the Earth is 6025 years old, appears to be 4.5 billion years old, and has a "physical age" of 4.5 billion years old uses the same logic as the view that I was created last Thursday, have all the appearance and memories of a 66 year old man, and have a physical age of 66. Adding "physical age" does nothing to solve the problem. Your view is as bad as Last Thursdayism.

What if I say they were created before the Flood?

Wait, what?

All this time you have been saying the Fossils came from a cleanup after a flood. Are you telling me that the rocks were always there and God inserted all those dead animals from the flood throughout thousands of feet of solid rock and made it appear that those fossils were buried in place by natural forces down there?

Ok but the mistake is not rejecting Genesis 1 for evolution.

It is thinking only one can be right and the other must be wrong. That is the serious mistake.

The Bible is filled with many genres of literature. Not all of it must be literal historical truth.

Indeed it is.

Genesis 1 has birds BEFORE dinosaurs.

It is thinking only one can be right and the other must be wrong.

Yup.

Can't have it both ways.

That is the serious mistake.

I have to disagree.

The Bible is filled with many genres of literature.

Indeed It is.

Not all of it must be literal historical truth.

Jesus took Genesis 1 & 2 literally.

So should we.

Is that what Christianity is to you?

Self-mutiliation, by way of taking hyperbole in the Bible literally?

Have you ever carried a bag of groceries that weighed a ton?
