God gives His Gift of Faith so that one can believe that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and arose the third day, according to the Scriptures. 1Co 15:1-8 How can we believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to the Scriptures, and not believe that God wrote the entire Bible? He did, from inside the men who penned the words. 2Pe 1:21 That's God's Literal Truth. God Bless you

"The Scriptures" or just Genesis? How much do you really need to know?

So? That doesn't have anything to do with the genre determination of Genesis either.

I find that most studies of Genesis involve seeking the meaning of the Hebrew words instead of seeking the agreement of Scripture with Science and History. The Hebrews eventually called for the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ, Who was their God. They also determined the religion/belief which is still being taught today concerning the creation. Since every man is right in his own eyes Pro 21:2 we now have more than 30k denominations/beliefs. I find that most religious beliefs are not true to what is actually written. This insures that only by Faith can one be saved. Amen?

The first 34 verses of Genesis tell the complete History of God's 7 Day Creation of the perfect 3rd Heaven including events which are future to our time at the end of the present 6th Day/Age. God, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, is the Author. Amen?

Sounds like everything after after verse 34 is filler.

I don't know anything about Lake Van.

Never heard of it.

I'm sure Noah never heard of New Jersey, despite the fact that he lived there.
Ah so it not true that noah lived on a floating island in Lake Van as aman writes.

Haven't you noticed that the creationists care little about Christ? They only refer to the Gospels as a source of anti-evolutionary proof-texts.

Good. Can you tell us WHY you haven't told us which ancient man wrote that "every living creature that moveth" was created and brought forth from water as Genesis 1:21 clearly states? Science AGREES and it's evidence that God wrote Genesis and NOT any man of the time. Behold LUCA, the Last Universal Common Ancestor of Life on Earth ... https://www.smithsonianmag.com/.../behold-luca-last-universal-common-ancestor-life...

Waiting..., since no other evolutionist has been able to explain....
You're still wrong, just like every other time you've brought this up, so let me repeat again. Genesis 1:21 clearly states:

"And God created the great sea-monsters, and every living creature that moveth, wherewith the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind: and God saw that it was good. "
Which of course DOESN'T agree with a LUCA, since literally every Creationists purports "after their kind" as individually and specially created. Also, the biblical domains of life have always included land, sea and air, with the Land animals being the most prominent and pivotal domain given this is where us Humans would rule over these creations from, exactly as Genesis depicts in Genesis 1:21-25 The order in which the Bible depicts them is their order of importance (hence us Humans last). They have NOTHING to do with the order of their mention in the bible as correlation with reality, unless you think Birds came before the Land Animals they descended from? So much for Scientifically accurate, we can set that aside as "Answered" yet again...
One is saved by his Faith in God's Truth. Do you believe Him? Those who don't are called the lost.
God's Truth is in his handiwork (read: Reality) if he exists, not some unknown author who didn't understand how the universe worked. I trust in Reality, which would put me closer to your God than anyone reading an unknown author's second hand account of God's creation that's been copied, translated, copied again and reinterpreted for thousands of years before getting to us.
Yes, but currently He is filling the 3rd Heaven with believers. In the last days He is pouring out His Spirit of Truth upon all flesh. Act 2:17 Do you think atheists and agnostics will believe Him when Science confirms His Truth in Genesis? After all, they will be left "without excuse". Rom 1:20
More of your unsubstantiated reinterpreted additions to scripture. IF reality ever purports your God, then yes, I think atheists and agnostics will believe he exists.
Everything is happening just as He told us in Genesis chapter one. Soon, Jesus will return to fulfill the prophecy of Gen 1:28-31. The end of the present 6th Day is future to 2018.
What's happening just as he told you in Gen 1?

Gen 1:28 is God blessing Adam and Eve, telling them to be fruitful & multiply & have dominion over everything, which is a Job Done already. They're enjoying eternity in Hell now, and have been for quite a while.
Gen 1:29 Equally, God informs Adam and Eve of the herb yielding seeds, and fruit of a tree yielding seed, which would be for food - Also done and dusted, (i.e. we already have those if you're unaware)...
Gen 1:30 God tells Adam and Eve that everything animal gets to eat all these herbs & fruits too (you know, Lions, Velociraptors, T-Rex, etc.), because he said so.
then finally, Gen 1:31 God sits back and admires his handiwork & left Adam and Eve to take it from there.

All of this has already happened according to the Bible.

Noah lived in [what is now] New Jersey before the Flood.
Can't be. Aman says Noah lived in a firmament (heaven). I have been to New Jersey, and it is no heaven.

You don't live in the atmosphere (first heaven)?

Aman uses the word firmament differently from you. He has Adam and his descendents living in an enclosure (called a firmament) in outer space that somehow traveled to Lake Van and sank, killing everyone but Noah and his family who escaped in a boat.

You apparently think this is rubbish, and claim that Noah lived in New Jersey.

We're both just as wrong, aren't we?

After all, Noah never existed ... right?

And anyone who doesn't believe Noah even existed as documented in the Bible is right ... right?
Yes.

The story of Noah in Genesis is fiction.

At least Aman believes in Noah.

I may not agree with him on the details, but you guys are far worse.

Noah or no Noah, he still thinks you're flat out wrong. I see your standards are quite malleable... next week you'll find someone who agrees the Bible exists and claim victory.

So what?

You guys think we're both wrong.

I guess I'll have to write myself a Post-it Note to remind myself to lose some sleep over it.
